Reminds me of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ games from the Xbox and PS2 era. I've also been told it's similar to classic 3D Zelda like Wind Waker which would be even older. Beautifully clunky and an accurate and hardcore recreation of the anime. I really liked it. Definitely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sometimes, especially the 3rd and 4th layers...

By the way don't bother playing "Hello Abyss" mode. You already saw the anime didn't you? You want to experience the abyss for yourself, that's the appeal of this game. Choose Deep In Abyss and make your own Cave Raider, the most cracked little kid who can somehow take on Ozen in a fight.

Fun Campaign, Fun weapons, Fun abilities.
Awful story. Awful characters. Awful new area made up of reused assets and it still looks unfinished. No pvp content.
And it's their most expensive dlc ever.

I've been enjoying this game since it came out a decade ago, It combined the features of Japanese fighting games with QoL of western games. I bought it multiple times on console, so I could play it anywhere. I always wanted Marie to be playable but for years they stopped updating the game and we all thought is was done. Well now there's a new team and they're finally adding Marie, but at the cost of suddenly censoring the game. I think this is the second time they've updated the game to do this. Removing sprites for being too sexual, altering character stories, removing aspects of character story. Altering the appearance of characters because I guess 1940s Germans are just too scary. I don't get it.

This game is not for babies. I don't consider games like this and Dark Souls to be "hard", it's just that they actually take effort, but it's not like you need frame perfect movements. Very fun and there are so many little details and interactions spread through the game. Pls buy so they make dlc or a sequel.
