Nolimits 2 is the coaster sim I've always wanted without even knowing it.
I had an identity crisis recently, and discovered that I enjoy the designing aspect more than gameplay and theme park management. While games like the original RCT Franchise still are amazing and I hold true to this day as some of my favourite games, I can't hide the fact that Nolimits fulfills every desire of coaster design that I've yearned for from previously mentioned games; and it makes total sense. Now I wish I had used the original Nolimits during my RCT3 days.

Also, the step to bring this to the Mac operating system meant that I no longer have go through the hassle and boot up into my Windows partition just to get some sexy Arrow looper action.

On a final note, I am more than willing to sacrifice management and simulated people riding my coasters for a prototypical, almost commercial workspace as well as REAL people being able to ride my coasters via VR; because nothing's more fun than watching a grown woman (who is also your school teacher) scream and wobble around in her chair because of something I made. ;)

It's a delicate process to update and remaster a game as beloved as RCT 1 and 2. It's so easy to just ruin it, but then, sometimes, the nail can be hit right on the head. As someone who grew up on the RCT franchise, this remastered build combining RCT1 and RCT2 surpasses the original.

The updated ui is easy to get used to and sometimes easier to find things than the original. The customization from RCT2 combined with the scenarios from RCT1 make it easier to create and imagine. The enhanced camera features give better control over viewing an area and studying a coaster.

The charm is still there. The genius of Chris Sawyer's masterpiece is still present. The fun and addictiveness of the original is surpassed. This game is the best multi-platform coaster sim available, and I couldn't recommend it more.

Unlike the original builds of the first two games on Steam (which are only on Windows,) this build actually runs trouble free; and uses almost no computer resources at that.

In conclusion, this release surpasses the original two, and for the experience of not only a classic coaster sim, but any coaster sim, this is one of the best. It's stood the test of time this long, and it's only welcoming a new generation of people to the masterpiece that is RollerCoaster Tycoon.

Well I really liked it at first, Like 8-hours-in-a-day liked it and I was gonna say that it could use a lil tlc, such as more coasters, better camera and camera controls, enhanced Suspended coaster physics, but somethin terrible happened that made the game not fun for me.

See, the way the game saves is a lil confusing, you have files named by the name of the park instead of the actual filename you type when prompted. But the biggest crime is that it gives you not just an option at all, but the first option to save your game on the Autosave file, so after 8 hours of work, I started a new scenario and went to save and found out that my park was saved on a volatile file, and it's all gone. Thanks a lot.

Do I recommend this? It's pretty much sandbox only, and there's not a lot to do in the first place. If you're on OSX like me, well you pretty much have no other equal alternatives, so yeah it is fun until problems like that happen.

Comments: fix the camera - it detects my scroll wheel as mouse2 ((right click)) and make an option for non-natural scrolling - also, the camera is so high up it gets me kinda nauseous so a setting to control the height of the camera would be great. Also, Suspended coaster trains sway like they're on a spring - they don't sway out on turns like an actual Arrow would and only rock when there's a lethal amount of lateral Gs.

Plz give me my save bak
