Highly recommended to go ham and install hundreds or even thousands of mods to get the most enjoyment out of this game. The thing's a platform for mods at this point. Well, it's still good ol' Skyrim at the core but eh, ain't the same without mods.

Democracy has prevailed

I'm 40 hours in as of writing this review. As a dude with a budget build, i5 and GTX1650S, I gotta stay at medium/low graphics settings, I don't really have any complaints, mainly because I'm kinda used to playing big games in lower settings and getting decent FPS, but the game still looks good on lower graphics settings nonetheless. As for gameplay, I feel that Fromsoftware did a pretty great job highlighting the good things in previous games and putting it here, some may say that's just reusing content, which I agree, but somehow they did it right and not just blindly throwing it in. If any souls player or newcomer to the series is reading this. Elden RIng, in my opinion, is NOT your souls formula kind of game. You should NOT tunnel vision your way to the main story objective or dive in bosses head on if you are not experienced to deal with them at lower levels. Instead you should do what I and many other players/streamers did: go explore, go farm, do side stuff and get better stats. Do not get discouraged if you try to kill a story boss and got wrecked, that's just the game telling you to go farm first. There's no shame in backtracking or just simply go prepare and then maybe have an easier time fighting bosses. Lastly, don't take what people say about 'builds' or what weapons to use that much. Don't ignore them entirely, as some may just be good suggestions for newcomers, but by all means, play however you like as this is an open world game with a lot of freedom. Gatekeepers are in every community, you can't do anything about it. That's all I have to say for this game, Thanks for reading :)
