5K Achievements for cheap. Minimal educational value.

Nihon Falcom strikes gold yet again. A varied cast of characters, an engaging combat system, a story with some twists and turns and the typical awesome music that all Falcom games are known for. This game can be quite long, depending on how often you talk with all NPCs from one chapter to the next. A wide range of difficulties ensures everyone can enjoy the game at their own pace. Definitely one of the best games I've played in a while and highly recommended.

Just stay away. Even if you speak Russian, don't play this.

A short, 1 level platformer. Jump, don't fall, collect some gems and avoid the spikes. The end moment is nice.

This is just bad. On all fronts.

Like Dark Souls? Play this. Like difficult games? Play this. Praise the sun? Play this.

This is my favorite Ys game so far (haven't played MoC or VIII yet) and a fantastic game in general. All the typical pillars of a Ys game are present (action, music, fast paced play and funny moments) as well as new aspects like a more engrossing story and a bigger cast of enjoyable characters. As with any Ys game, the boss fights are a treat and rarely feel unfair when utilizing patience, flash guarding, dodging, the occassional health item and more patience!

There are a vast array of enemies to fight, items to collect and abilities to play around with. There is some backtracking (some forced, some not), but as far as I'm concerned, it nets needed resources anyway. The A.I. is generally pretty competent, except for the times (usually boss fights) where they just don't attack if Adol isn't engaged with the enemy as well. The game plays like butter at 60 FPS and generally looks servicable for its age (except for some textures such as the harbor, *shudder*). Dialog in the various towns also updates as you progress through the story, so feel free to waste an hour or two (or more!) just chatting up the townsfolk.

Overall, this is a very well done game. With 4 different difficulties, just about anyone can come in and be challenged at an appropriate level. I easily recommend this to any fans of Ys or anyone that enjoys fast paced action RPGs.

This is, by far, the most stressful game I have ever played. Holy hell. Recommended for masochists, not recommeded for people looking for an easy game. Achievement hunters, beware.

This is a super fun and happy Visual Novel. There is nothing but good times here. Hope you like poetry!
