I think it's fitting that it's no longer called Yakuza since they no longer play such a main focus. To my dismay. So, I definitely preferred Like a Dragon's story, but the gameplay in Infinite Wealth is superior.

All the usual activities are present: lots of main questing, lots of side questing to get distracted from main questing, lots of mini games, lots of talking. Bonding talks/missions are a special highlight. Expect to be occupied for 100-200+ hours.

Either have a shooting gallery with infinite enemies, or hostage rescue with finite enemies (or at the very least, timed respawns). Merging the 2 together makes the hostage rescue stupid when enemies literally respawn on the same rooftop you just killed one off of.

And ffs, the "Tips" menu doesn't even list the most important tip of "Shift - Hold Breath", making distant shots near impossible without it. What a waste of time, even for one of these "hentai" style games.

Floathink is a game about controlling a rocket and moving around obstacles and sometimes using boxes to help clear the way to the landing platform. Controlling the ship will take some getting used to. Why? Because if you're moving left and want to slow down, you'd think you'd try moving right to slow down. But no; you're better off just to stop moving as that will very quickly slow you down.

This is also apparently a NES game as almost all levels beyond the first 10 or so have flickering assets. The game literally can't even handle that amount in a given level, making some of them much harder than they should be, especially if some of them are a moving obstacle and you can't freaking see when to move around it. There's also 2 broken Achievements, for some unknown reason when the other 48 work fine (1 per level).

Yeah, it's difficult, but it's busted to hell and you'll be cursing the game before your own mistakes more often than not.

I was going to give this a thumbs up just for the novelty of having several minutes worth of actual hentai. Cuz that's hilarious. Until I ran into a blocker with the sliding puzzle where you can't actually play it. Allow me to paraphrase the dev:

"It is possible to brag to your friends that you passed, but the dev didn't, you know, make it possible. It's difficult for them :)"

I have no idea what this game is trying to be. It's not a clicker game as you can't just mindlessly click anywhere, you have to click the blocks. Then you have to manually go to the next picture (if it even thinks you actually finished which is not guaranteed). This is required in the auto mode as well.

Then the coins. There's only one character to undress, not multiple. Half of the main menu UI does nothing, being placeholder DLC that doesn't exist. No idea what the Achievements are tied to besides completing a certain amount of pictures and looking through all menus. And to top it all off, progress is not saved when restarting. But the game only lasts a few minutes, so I guess it doesn't really matter. Completely pointless.

Get a real price point, get a real review. The snowman object doesn't work as well.

What you see is what you get. Flip and drive your truck out of control to fling all those people out the back that just keep spawning. To the tune of a wacky (if repetitive) singular music track. Only takes a few minutes to 100%.

This was a special gem. I was pretty much hooked after the first part. The characters are all uniquely charming and the CGs look great. Soundtrack is on point too when the action ramps up. It gets a tad confusing at times, but generally gets resolved quickly enough. The only negative I had story-wise was how the aftermath of several incidents was not explained or just glossed over contrary to initial impressions of events. There is also a lack of using Spacebar or Enter to advance text (only left click works) which is just mind-boggling.

A bit of a niche topic, but well recommended for anyone interested in this realm.

Actual read time: 11 hours, 30 minutes (I spent way too much time with this running while doing other things).

A worthy entry to the LiS series. Compelling characters, gorgeous backgrounds and facial animations, attention to detail and of course, the music, all combine to make a wonderful game. And the Steph DLC <3

Spacebar Simulator, the game. I wanted to bash my brains out for what's required to 100% this. 100% luck, that's it. Luck to get the star and luck to win. There's no game here. Best played on the side as you watch something else.
