Overpriced for content that:

1) Should've come with the main game
2) Doesn't even bring all the variants for the generic Lords and heroes or weapon variants for some units (halberds/2h weapons/dual weapons)

The fact that most of these are lazy recolors with some new assets (helmet/cloak/weapons) sprinkled over is irritating given my grievances with the rest of the recolors already present (chaos spawns for example) although I must admit that the new voice work is quite good as usual.

However, the Chaos rework is amazing and possibly the best one out of the 3 games so far, technically free, but the budget to develop it comes from this update regardless so that is something to take into account.

I bought the DLC mostly for the units and the only actual new model is the Shrine that comes in 4 recolors, it's fine but you can tell CA has a hard time coming up with effects to differentiate each one and some features it should've had from the TT aren't present at all.

I dislike the Lords' start positions in IE but it's a common issue with the combined map in game 3, the pacing of most campaigns is beyond ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Other than that, the trend of more stylized over realistic depictions of the character (yes, even for a fantasy game) is still present so they look too cartoony in comparison to other Lords from previous games; the marked units also clash somewhat vs the regular undivided TWW1 Chaos warriors.

Got it on a whim since I'm a Chaos fan, but wouldn't recommend it at full price, this company doesn't care about the quality of their products, just selling more flashy units and OP campaigns for dummies. Last DLC I've bought, vote with your wallet.

Game feels like an early beta with so many old bugs present plus new ones, features from previous games missing or arbitrarily changed just for the sake of change (like a perfectly functioning UI) and a very questionable change of art direction in the campaign map, the Old world looks like ass now with the brighter lightning, plastic ground/mountain textures and assets that look mobile-tier cartoony like the new foliage and bridges, this isn't Warcraft. Also the game is going in a more arcadey direction instead of simulation, you know, what this franchise is famous for and I hate it.

The siege "rework" is a joke, the maps are better but walls are still useless since ass ladders and no arty on walls are still a thing(the most requested thing by the community). We get this "amazing" supply system tht favors ranged units in a ranged meta game instead, with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ generic towers for all the races that are rebuilt right after you destroy them, barricades that friendly units just PHASE through and can be built on top of YOUR units. Minor settlements (an actual great feature) are easier to defend than walled capitals, that's how bad this rework is.

I'm just gonna mention other stuff I've noticed so far regarding bugs and "features"
-Gate opening bug still a thing
-units dropping attack commands constantly
-Chariots and cavalry in general not doing much damage or penetration on the charge
-Old arcane conduit (passive) is back when it was changed to an active in game 2, so no extra winds at all
-Some factions don't even have the hinder army ability at all so you get kited on the campaign map by the AI as usual
-Hyper aggressive Wood elves from game 1 are back
-Corruption heavy zones lower fps significantly
-UI is ugly and dysfunctional at times
-Game 1 factions look HORRIBLE, Franz looks like his face is made of clay or something and its not an "old model" quality issue but something to do with the new lightning.
-The Daemon factions' already small rosters are filled with literal recolored units, unacceptable from an AAA company.

I'm pretty sure I'm missing a few but I felt the need to write this review after dropping my first campaign, cannot go past turn 200 on DoC thanks to a CTD on end turn, have had it happen multiple tries after reloading 3-5 turns back but its unavoidable in the end. It seems to happens on the rogue/rift armies's turn right before I start mine, from getting wiped out would be my guess.

There is a lack of playtesting in general and communication between the development teams and it shows, cannot recommend at this point and I frankly would like a refund but I'd have to buy Ogre Kingdoms separately if I wanted to purchase it again in the future.

Inferior sequel to Bloodline Champions in every way:

-Generic artstyle akin to LoL or Fortnite.
-Watered down combat reliant on cooldowns and iframes instead of real skill.
-Awful lootbox system.
-They ruined almost every ported character from BLC both in gameplay and concept.

This was the last game I bought on early access.
