After I finished Disco Elysium I was in a gaming slump. I tried to play other games and none could capture me sufficiently to keep me interested.

Metro: Exodus came to my rescue.

It is a beautiful game, with a good storyline and it manages the transition from the more scripted environment of the Metro to the expanse beyond. The world felt alive, bleak as it was, and I found myself really invested in the characters and their struggles.

Highly recommended if you want an example of a modern fps done right.
