this game feels like a total blast to play every time you boot it up, and it just feels like a beautiful homage to not just the 90s, but also classic mascot platformers and classic nickelodeon cartoons.

one thing i find completely outstanding is how on its own, it looks like you could draw every single sprite in ms paint, yet it all blends together into a wonderful mix of bright colors and cartoony effects that just feels good

i totally reccomend this, also this game got ROBBED at the 2023 game and steam awards >:(

the soundtrack is a masterpiece and it just gives off classic sonic vibes

an absolutely outstanding roguelike with a really unique mechanic, with the unfortunate caveat that most of the characters and achievements were made by a legitimate psychopath.

this game is fun to play casually, BUT DO NOT go in expecting to 100% the entire thing or else this game will take a significant toll on your mental state

unplayable due to rampant bots and cheaters that valve refuse to ban

one of my favorite 2d sonic games in the series, but unfortunately sega had to take it down for origins :(

Picked up this game after i saw a bunch of youtubers playing it, and thinking that it looked cool after reminding me of bonzibuddy

On launch,I ran into issues as this game uses the steam friend system, and crashes if you have a friend in your friends list with an animated icon, so you have to run this game logged out of steam (hence why it says ive only played this game for 0.2 hours).

Generally, I'd say the game's a pretty great example of digital horror, and fact that kinito is basically a massive parody of bonzi buddy is also really good.

The first half of the game kinda fell on deaf ears for me (i think this is because i actively study gamedev and have a healthy knowledge of what a program, let alone one sold on steam can and can't do), but generally it was fine (it felt kinda edgy at times with the spammed placement of hidden dead bodies), but it was generally pretty good, reminding me of classic flash games.

[HEAVY SPOILERS UP AHEAD]
After asking you a series of disturbing questions and kinito signing you up to the membership club, he develops a world for you, based on what you told him and what he found out about you. Kinito also becomes a lot more possessive over you and makes sure youre his one and only friend, which i really like, horrorwise.

He also blurs between the game's fake desktop and your real desktop, and when granting kinito admin perms, i remember manicly saving everything since i was worried kinito would mess with my open projects, which i would consider a great success in terms of horror.

However, i'd say one of the major issues with kinitopet is that digital horror only works when occaisionally sprinkled in, such as the terminals in oneshot that change your background, send you messages on your actual pc. It kind of loses its scariness factor when the whole game is like that.

Despite that, I would highly reccomend kinitopet, after the developer fixes the animated steam profile bug. The new game+ is fun to piece together and reminds me a lot of the ddlc arg.

my favorite part of ultrakill was when v1 said "its ultrakilling time" before he proceeded to ultrakill all over the place, truely the best written piece of writing in gaming history, bravo hakita

this is truly the game of all time.

steam forced me to play and review this game for a badge, i think this is worth it

thought this game was gonna be nothing but a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but it was a fun 1-2 hour long visual novel with absolutely beautiful art and was full of charm

would highly recommend, even if you hate visual novels
feels absolutely criminal i did not pay a dime for this
