Early Access Review

This game definitely has potential to be a great bullet hell game and it's only in early access as of writing this review. Loads of classes to choose from the further you progress in the game. Plenty of different style weapons to hack and slash through the never ending dungeons of Letter Lancers. Choose your path, either through the regular mode or take your chance at the daily high-scores with the daily dungeons!

It offers a 4-Player couch co-op to play with your friends (online co-op would also be a great addition to this). I will say there are plenty of things the game could work on. The dungeons really are never ending, i felt like i was doing the same play through for ages and i couldn't even reach the end. This really is a grind, and for me i'm down for that but i can see others being put off because of this.

Overall, it's pretty good, plenty to do & work towards and i'll for sure keep playing it for a while!

I'm a bit perplexed by what i've just played if i'm honest... Don't get me wrong i quite enjoyed it but it's a lot of just random tasks into one short game. (Spoilers)

You start off in a farming sim, farming, selling, all that sort of stuff and then you're just randomly taken away from that with no warning what so ever and thrown into a temple run style runner. Once you're done with the runner, all hopes and dreams to be back in your nice peaceful farm is then crushed as you're plopped into some stealth game. It plays well, it looks cool, i'm just struggling to see the point or story behind it all?? Anyways, i had fun, and it's cheap, so why not.

A pretty basic endless 2D platformer, avoiding obstacles as you aim to get a highscore.

Not really much to say about this honestly, the custom skin idea is cool i guess? but actually having the time and effort to make one is another ask. The regular art style/skin is well made and you have plenty of choices in characters with different styled jumps. All high-scores and online features are no longer active. It's pretty fun for a few hours but then becomes i bit tedious to get all the achievements etc, especially the one you have to travel 500k distance?!? (Took me 25 hours ish)

Super cheap game and you get your small moments of fun for the cheap price, so i can't complain!

This is one of the best bullet hell / shoot em up I've played to date.

You can play this so casually but it's also very in depth when you look into it, with skill trees and lore progression. There's literally hours of content for less than a price of a burger. The art style is super clean, all the characters have there own weapons that you can't use on others which gives a variety of different weapon combos you can go for. Plenty of different maps & bosses and endless modes to play till your heart contents.

Better still they have FREE DLC updates coming up in the future with a structured plan showed to you in the menus!

It's a fun & wacky arcade rally racer moving up a blacklist as you defeat the bosses. Some missions are great others, not so much. The handling of the cars can be very hit and miss, sometimes you feel light as a feather floating in the air, other times you can barely turn the vehicle.

Everything you think can be broken (minus most of the trees) can be. This can have a major effect on performance depending on what map/track you're on. Also feel like the novelty most things being destructible does wear off very quickly. Voice acting and character animations are awful i can't lie. The career does have a slight story to it but i didn't pay much attention to it

Overall just couldn't really vibe with it but i see the appeal. My GPU is thankful that i finished it...

This program has it all, chilled music, amazing sound effects, loads of customisation, a variety of features / widgets & just an all round amazingly detailed art style.

I personally bought this game to help me organise a plan with my work with a "to do" list and timers etc and it's been helping MASSIVELY. Being rewarded with XP & level ups for doing IRL things give you that boost to actually go do the things you're set out to do!

The customisation is also catered to anyone's needs, The music for example, I like more fast paced chilled music normally and while the standard sounds & tunes are soothing they're not always my vibe. But they have implemented a feature to load up anything on there "Web music browser" which is perfect for me! Highly recommend! Oh and it has achievements which is a double bonus!!

Metal: Hellsinger - Setting the Bar High for Indie Excellence

Hellsinger boldly stands shoulder to shoulder with the giants of the gaming industry, a remarkable achievement for a title from a smaller studio. Its polish and finesse rival that of triple-A releases, delivering a gaming experience that punches well above its weight class.

Drawing inspiration from the high-octane action of DOOM and the rhythmic precision of Guitar Hero, Metal: Hellsinger offers a unique fusion that is as refreshing as it is addictive. Each level is a symphony of destruction and rhythm, where timing and skill combine in a satisfying crescendo of success.

Central to its allure is the dopamine rush that accompanies perfect execution. Synchronising your movements & actions to the beat feels nothing short of triumphant, a sensation that becomes even more rewarding as you conquer increasingly challenging levels.

A standout feature is its exceptional soundtrack, a handpicked selection of tracks featuring renowned artists. Even if the musical genre isn't your usual cup of tea, the synergy between gameplay and music is so well-crafted that it enhances the experience for players of all tastes.

Diving into the arsenal of weapons and character enhancements reveals a depth of gameplay that keeps you engaged for hours on end. Whether unleashing hell with a barrage of explosive weaponry or strategically selecting buffs to suit your play style, the game offers a satisfying variety of options to explore.

The campaign, while relatively brief, is a tightly woven tapestry of adrenaline-pumping action and challenging encounters.
Furthermore, the developers have embraced the concept of post-launch support with gusto. A wealth of DLC expansion maps awaits, each offering substantial content at reasonable prices. This commitment to ongoing development ensures that players will have plenty of reasons to return not long after the credits have rolled.

Competitive spirits will find themselves right at home with Hellsinger's robust leaderboard system and detailed stat tracking. The drive to climb the ranks and achieve higher scores adds another layer of replayability that is as compelling as it is addictive.

In conclusion, Hellsinger is a triumph of indie game development, delivering a boomer shooter experience that hits all the right notes. Its fusion of heart-pounding action, rhythmic gameplay, and stellar music makes it an unforgettable journey for fans of the genre. I eagerly anticipate the future of Hellsinger, hoping that its success paves the way for a sequel.

Title: EA SPORTS WRC - A Mixed Bag Rally Racing Experience

EA SPORTS WRC offers a mixed bag experience for rally racing enthusiasts. While it presents an enticing career mode with a satisfying progression system, the overall gameplay experience feels unpolished and lacks the finesse expected in modern racing games.

Graphically, the game falls short of expectations for a title released in 2023, especially when compared to older games in the genre. The graphics are somewhat lacking, failing to deliver the immersive visual experience found in similar titles. Additionally, the physics, particularly regarding damage and vehicle handling, feel off and often lead to very frustrating moments. The necessity of manually tuning every car, even pre-built ones, adds an unnecessary layer of complexity and frustration to the gameplay experience.

One redeeming aspect of EA SPORTS WRC is its career mode, which offers players a compelling progression system as they work their way up the ranks. This mode provides a sense of accomplishment and helps to keep players engaged despite the game's shortcomings.

Overall, EA SPORTS WRC feels rushed and could have benefited from more development time to refine its gameplay mechanics and improve overall polish. While it may offer some value at a discounted price, purchasing the game at full price may leave players feeling disappointed, especially considering the availability of superior rally racing titles on the market (DiRT Rally 2.0).

In conclusion, while EA SPORTS WRC has potential, it ultimately falls short of expectations and fails to deliver a truly satisfying rally racing experience. Players seeking a high-quality rally racing game may be better off exploring other options.

I have put myself through a days torture trying to find some way to justify giving this a semi positive review and i literally can't. I've been so hyped for this since the trailer reveal and it's literally the same game with AI HD textures and some just super lazy developing...

I get that this isn't branded as a "remaster" but come on, you've just gone and re-posted a 19 year old game(s) with multiplayer that doesn't work.

Wouldn't be surprised if this receives 0 updates / patches and is instantly abandoned

"Morphine" presents an experience that can be quite jumpy, though the scares are mostly reliant on loud sound effects rather than visual frights. Unfortunately, some tasks, like lock picking, feel needlessly drawn out due to reliance on RNG mechanics. The game's menu can also be frustratingly buggy, particularly when adjusting to different resolutions. Animations throughout the game leave much to be desired, lacking polish and fluidity.

One helpful feature is a guiding green light, yet its effectiveness wavers, leaving players confused at times. As the game progresses, expect to encounter excessively long cut scenes that feel unnecessarily prolonged, often taking away from the gameplay's momentum.

Overall, "Morphine" fails to impress, and it's perplexing why it garners numerous positive reviews. The game tends to lean towards boredom rather than delivering engaging gameplay or compelling scares, making it difficult to recommend.
