There are already so many positive reviews for Baldur's Gate 3. I'm just adding one to the ever-growing bundle.
I haven't even finished this yet, but it's definitely a lot of fun :)

I hate that I have to do side content in order to continue the Main Story.

I'm not a fan of some of the story missions, it doesn't follow the original story as nicely and it just seems weird. I have not yet played the 2nd game, but the 3rd game did a really good job with recreating the original story missions. This isn't like a major downfall, you can still read the text before missions and that gives you some information, but like the fight between Gaara and Rock-Lee ~ you beat him in the game (Well you have to).

The gameplay is the same as the 3rd as far as I can tell. I would probably say you should skip this one, watch a summary video of the content and jump to the 2nd ( I can't really suggest the 2nd yet, I've not played it) or 3rd.

I'm currently at the 3rd arc as of writing this review, and I'll be uninstalling it at this point.

Update: I've finished the game, well the main story content. And I stand by my previous statement about needing to do side content. It sucks, some of them were alright to do and gave a lot of xp, so you could play quite a few missions before needing to do more side content, but in the last 2 arcs, I had to really go at them. Apart from that, it's not really a bad game. The story seems bit a weird at times, like it's rushed.

I'd say if you really wanted to get the game, wait for a sale.

Else you better off skipping this one. The 3rd game had some flashback missions so you sort of got an idea of the what happened in this one, not sure about the 2nd game though. So it's not major if you skip it.

This game brought back so many fond memories. Back in the day I only played the 3rd one and I went back and forth to complete it entirely except for the time trials.

Now here we are today, and I'm able to play them all with better graphics.
And as one should, playing them in the chronological order.

I hated the first one, it was so difficult. I died so many times. I have no idea how many times I saw the "Game Over" screen. It's dreadful. But I managed to finish it.

Went over to the 2nd one, this one was more forgiving. I died a lot but with certain deaths it seemed like the game adapted and put checkpoints in new spots specifically spots I was struggling with. I really enjoyed this.

After this went over to the 3rd one, this was is really easy. Compared to the others I never had a Game Over scene. I was able to get the silver gems on the first try in most cases, except where other gems were required in order to get them. The extra abilities you unlock with each boss you defeat also made the game more enjoyable. It wasn't just a finish the game.

All in All, the 3rd game is the one I'd play again to try and get all the secrets. The other 2 I'm less bothered by, as I know what the story was and it doesn't seem worth replaying it for the gems. However having said the bad things about the 1st and 2nd, this was still a great game. And you might be better at the 1st or 2nd game, so you'd beat it easily :3

Disclaimer: I have not yet played GOD EATER 2 Rage Burst, I have only played GOD EATER Resurrection. I will update once I've started it.

I'm new to this series, I've played a bit of MH4 on the DS but I didn't really enjoy it. This seemed similar but I figured I'd give it go. As I side not I'm playing this game on a big screen using a controller, I doubt it'll be as nice with a keyboard/mouse.

: : GOD EATER Resurrection : :

This game is a lot of fun, I started out my character which doesn't matter much. You can change some of the initial settings once you start the game. I started the game played 3 hours straight, I would've played more if I could. The weapon types with the elemental bonuses are really cool. You can upgrade and craft new weapons or upgrades. Even get new clothing for your character.

There are tutorials and a terminal with a bunch of content to read through to explains things. I haven't bothered with the terminal yet. The story it self seems interesting, I do enjoy the anime style they have. The combat was a bit meh, I dislike how spamming a button doesn't have it flow properly, like a poorly create gif where you can see where it starts and ends, however with you having to move quite often to avoid attacks, it works out really nice. In most cases I can only get off 2 attacks before having to dodge (No, I don't really use the shield.)

That's all I have for now, I'm currently on Difficulty 2 on the 2nd or 3rd mission.
I might update this review once I finish it or possibly after playing GOD EATER 2 Rage Burst for a bit.

Honestly 2 games for that price seems fair. I got it on a sale, so it's even better. I have since starting also bought GOD EATER 3.

My first game/match I played, I didn't know anything so I just selected random stuff on the civ creation or whatever looked the coolest. I made the game mode "iron mode", because achievements. And I made the universe as big as possible and chose the star layout that is one big circular blob.

This game took me +- 70 hours to complete, before I had won, by conquering a % of the universe. It was an epic experience :D

If you're a fan of Strategy games and like big battles, you should definitely try this. And if you're worried you won't get enough game time out of the money you spent. 70 Hours for 1 game? Is quite insane, anything above 12 hours is amazing. If I had more time on my hands, my gametime would be considerably more :3
