Sony has officially released a statement announcing that they will not be forcing PC players to link a PSN account to play the game after record breaking backlash from the PC community. In case you missed the drama, Steam is available in most countries worldwide allowing people from all over the world to purchase games on their platform. PSN accounts on the other hand are only available in about 69 countries as of writing this review. This means that players from all over the world were able to purchase and play helldivers 2 from release up until May 6th when they announced they would be requiring a linked PSN account to play the game on PC, effectively blocking access to anyone who had purchased the game in a country that did not have access to PSN. This is a huge issue on its own.

Besides that, Sony is not a company I want to have handling my data:

1. 2011 PlayStation Network (PSN) Breach: In April 2011, hackers accessed personal data of 77 million PlayStation Network (PSN) users, including names, addresses, and credit card information.

2. 2011 Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) Breach: In May 2011, hackers stole personal data of 25 million SOE customers, including names, addresses, and passwords.

3. 2014 Sony Pictures Hack: In November 2014, hackers stole 100 terabytes of data from Sony Pictures, including unreleased movies and TV shows.

4. 2014 Sony Hack: In August 2014, hackers accessed Sony’s internal systems, stealing sensitive data, including employee information and intellectual property.

5. 2017 Sony Social Media Hack: In August 2017, hackers accessed Sony’s social media accounts, claiming to have accessed the PlayStation Network database and collected registration information.

6. 2023 Sony Data Breach: In October 2023, Sony notified employees of a data breach, stating that hackers had accessed personal information of approximately 6,800 current and former employees and their family members.

Other notable incidents:

2008: Sony’s PlayStation website was targeted with a SQL-injection attack, prompting visitors to download a fake antivirus scanner.

2010: Hackers accessed Sony’s internal systems, stealing sensitive data, including employee information and intellectual property.

2019: A collection of 2.7 billion identity records, including 774 million unique email addresses and 21 million unique passwords, was posted online for sale.

2023: A hacker group claimed to have stolen 260 GB of proprietary data from Sony, including source code files and PowerPoint presentations.

Sony has a very large history of data breaches and is clearly not a company that takes cybersecurity seriously in an age where cybersecurity is becoming more and more prevalent. That is not a company I want handling my data.

The PSN account requirement had no benefits for anyone except Sony who could take the bigger number of PSN members that the forced sign up and link would require to their shareholders. The entire decision seems like it was very poorly considered. They literally decided to block access in over half the countries the game was available to purchase so that they could make their number of PSN members look better for investors.

Besides all the Sony drama, Helldivers 2 is an amazing game. Its truly a game that I can see making major moves in taking some space on the live service game market. I definitely recommend that everyone at least tries this game, in my opinion it is one of the most promising of the decade.

"Just upgrade your PC" - Todd Howard

Starfield’s core problem lies in its interaction with graphics hardware:

Memory Allocation: Starfield’s allocation of memory doesn’t conform to the standard CPU page size. For GPUs without the required robustness, this results in random game crashes.

ExecuteIndirect Feature: Starfield deploys a DX12 feature known as ExecuteIndirect. This feature relies on correct hints from the game for the graphics driver to process. Unfortunately, Starfield sends inaccurate hints. As a result, the graphics driver stumbles, forcing the GPU to pause, re-check its assumptions, and then resume. This constant start-stop severely hampers performance.

Batching Issues: Starfield sends multiple ExecuteIndirect commands sequentially rather than batching them. This means the aforementioned problem intensifies, further degrading performance.

When a game is performing as poorly as Starfield is on PC there is NO reason for Bethesda to not have implemented DLSS for improved performance at launch.

So, you watched Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and now you are thinking about playing Cyberpunk 2077. Or maybe you haven't seen the Cyberpunk anime yet and you are just thinking about trying the game (watch the anime it's amazing). Either way, this review will have some info to help you make your decision.

---{ Graphics }---
☑ You forget what reality is
☐ Beautiful
☐ Good
☐ Decent
☐ Bad
☐ Don‘t look too long at it
☐ MS-DOS

The Graphics in Cyberpunk 2077 are unreal if you have a computer that can handle high graphics settings, but it will push your PC to the max.

---{ Gameplay }---
☑ Very good
☐ Good
☐ It's just gameplay
☐ Mehh
☐ Watch paint dry instead
☐ Just don't

Cyberpunk 2077 features shooter mechanics similar to borderlands in a way, unique gun traits and the cyberware system combined with an incredible story gives Cyberpunk 2077 a gameplay loop that keeps you interested and scaling in power all the way through.

---{ Audio }---
☑ Eargasm
☐ Very good
☐ Good
☐ Not too bad
☐ Bad
☐ I'm now deaf

Cyberpunk 2077 has an amazing OST, the music is very fitting to the genre and night city and is also extremely well produced.

---{ Audience }---
☐ Kids
☑ Teens
☑ Adults
☐ Grandma

The games target audience is adults but teenagers will play and love this game all the same.

---{ PC Requirements }---
☐ Check if you can run paint
☐ Potato
☐ Decent
☐ Fast
☑ Rich boi
☐ Ask NASA if they have a spare computer

Cyberpunk 2077 requires a beefy PC to run, no way around it. CDPR has implemented some patches that help the game run a bit better but by no means is Cyberpunk 2077 an easy game for modern computers to run. I have a pretty top of the line custom built PC and cyberpunk would not run above 60fps when it ran well, but there was tons of lag issues throughout my playthrough that caused the game to drop to 1-20fps for extended periods. (I found that DLSS settings were the easiest way to fix this when it happened but it would inevitably happen again later) **EDIT: Lag Spikes have been patched out for the most part but will still occur in certain situations and areas occasionally due to the intense graphics.

---{ Difficulty }---
☐ Just press 'W'
☑ Easy
☐ Easy to learn / Hard to master
☐ Significant brain usage
☐ Difficult
☐ Dark Souls

Cyberpunk 2077 is not a difficult game. If you want it to be difficult you can play it on the hardest difficulty and you will notice it is much harder but by design the game is not intended to be difficult to be enjoyed.

---{ Grind }---
☐ Nothing to grind
☐ Only if u care about leaderboards/ranks
☐ Isn't necessary to progress
☑ Average grind level
☐ Too much grind
☐ You'll need a second life for grinding

Achievements, purchasibles, weapons, etc. are the only things you will be grinding if you are interested in doing so.

---{ Story }---
☐ No Story
☐ Some lore
☐ Average
☐ Good
☐ Lovely
☑ It'll replace your life

The lore behind Cyberpunk 2077 is extremely extensive and is still being expanded upon. There is tons to discover about the world in the game, anime and books.

---{ Game Time }---
☐ Long enough for a cup of coffee
☐ Short
☑ Average
☐ Long
☐ To infinity and beyond

The game can be beat in 24-48 hours if you just run the main quests, but can be extended over 60+ hours if you are going for a 100% completion run.

---{ Price }---
☐ It's free!
☑ Worth the price
☐ If it's on sale
☐ If u have some spare money left
☐ Not recommended
☐ You could also just burn your money

The game is expensive at $79.99CAD considering the current quality. I would wait for a sale to purchase.
**EDIT: The game has been patched enough that I would say it is worth the full $79.99CAD price, and on sale its a steal. There is hundreds of hours of content to enjoy if you choose to and the majority of the bugs that were causing issues before are patched out now.

---{ Bugs }---
☐ Never heard of
☑ Minor bugs
☐ Can get annoying
☐ ARK: Survival Evolved
☐ The game itself is a big terrarium for bugs

Bugs were a major issue in my playthrough of the game. I encountered softlocks, cinematic errors, npc glitches, driving glitches, crashes, pretty much anything you can think of you can probably encounter in Night City. That being said, the game is playable now even with the bugs, which is much better than when it launched.
**EDIT: The game has been patched to a point that bugs are only a minor issue if an issue at all. Framerate stays stable most of the time, cut scenes are no longer glitching out and I haven't encountered a soft-lock since writing my original review.

Overall Im giving Cyberpunk 2077 an 8/10 10/10 because of the incredible story, world, soundtrack, graphics and everything else mentioned above. The major downside of the game currently is the bugs and lag issues but if you can work around those it is truly an incredible game that will keep you enticed all the way through. I highly recommend watching the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime before or after your playthrough of the game as it adds a ton to the experience (I watched the anime before I played the game and really enjoyed finding all the references while I played)!

Stray is an incredible game.

The graphics are stunning.
The gameplay is enticing.
The audio is beautiful.
The story is fantastic.
The price is reasonable.

Need I say more? The game is short but so sweet, a full playthrough of the game with no collectables took me an hour and a half and my 100% playthrough took me 7 hours. Buy this game, and take a day to play through it. You won't regret it.

I was on the Lost Ark bandwagon from the start when it was first announced it would be released in my region. I purchased the platinum founder's pack, stayed up to date on the twitch drops, played the game religiously every day for months, etc. On release the game was fun and immersive, everyone seemed to be enjoying the initial grind and gameplay that Lost Ark had to offer. The english dub is bad and there were some other quality control issues that needed to be addressed but the game appeared to have potential.

The more time went on the more I noticed Amazon Games Studio neglecting the problems that the game was facing and feedback from the community. The forums were a cesspool of angry players, many banned falsely during ban waves meant to address the insane bot problem that plagued lost ark from launch, others angry because they were affected by some of the many unaddressed bugs and issues that were ruining gameplay for them or preventing them from playing altogether. I played Lost Ark for a few months regularly for hours a day and eventually just became bored of the endless grind which ends up being the core gameplay loop (which can only be sped up through micro transactions) and gradually lost interest in playing.

Amazon Games Studio has had a terrible track record with their releases so far for many reasons but mainly the inability or unwillingness to fix major issues in an effective manner and their refusal to listen to players and customers whether that be recommendations on how to improve the game, bug reports, or support issues. For these reasons and from my experience with the game itself, I do not recommend Lost Ark or any other Amazon Games Studio releases at this time.

GTFO is a great game to play with friends, but the matchmaking at the moment is very buggy and solo play is not much of an option. Currently there are quite a few bugs that need to be addressed but the game is being updated regularly so the future looks good. Make sure you have some buddies to play with and it's a blast to coordinate and experience the gameplay GTFO has to offer.

---{ Gameplay }---

Inscryption's gameplay at its base level is a card game roguelike with its own unique elements, but it's really so much more than that. Without spoiling anything all I can really say is that there are multiple games inside Inscryption, all in that roguelike card game style but with extremely varying art styles and gameplay elements. On top of that once you have had your fill of the main game you can play the alternate mode "Kaycee's Mod" which expands on the first phase of gameplay from the base experience with challenges and new content.

---{ Difficulty }---

Inscryption requires some strategy and introduces itself as a game that expects the player to die, many times. The more you play through the game the more you will come to understand the many card combos and strategies that will make the game more manageable.

---{ Story }---

The story in Inscryption is unreal. It took me multiple playthroughs and lore videos to fully understand what is happening in this game's story (check out The Game Theorist's video series) but piecing everything together is a very unique experience. I recommend playing through the game fully before diving into any lore videos.

---{ Game Time }---

The base game will take a lot of RNG and trial and error so you can expect multiple sessions before completing that main story. After that you can play through Kaycee's Mod which essentially takes the first gameplay loop from the base game and expands on it with more content and extra challenges.

Risk of Rain 2 takes the roguelike genre to another level. I've 100% completed the game but always find myself brought back for another run now and again whether it be solo or with some buddies. The game still has regular updates and future expansions planned but if you are a new player there is hundreds of hours of content for you to enjoy before you have experienced everything packed into the game right now.

A very good game, although there is some bugs it is still a good game overall because of the graphics and the amount of things in the game and there is still alot more things to come for this game. So far i have really enjoyed playing this game and cant wait until more is added.
