Cage of Roses is perhaps ebi-hime's best writing yet. Despite starting slow and a meandering pace at a few points, the story manages to achieve, if nothing else, an end more satisfying than could be expected from what could have been a simplistic human-vampire romance plot. While the point-of-view changes left me skeptical upon their first introduction, I can safely say I enjoyed this work much more for the grace it managed to handle roughly a half-dozen characters. I certainly did not expect a side character to be my favorite.

If you've enjoyed an ebi-hime VN before, you will certainly not be disappointed in this one. And if you're new, but can manage your expectations to a modestly enjoyable read, then you won't be disappointed either.

A challenging singleplayer experience and a fun, hectic multiplayer experience. With ten different bunnies to die as and several dozens of different items and upgrades to adjust your build, the game has the full indie game package. And the story is pretty cute.

Steel yourself, rabbit!

The developers are wildly incompetent and actively promote unfun and toxic behavior with their game's rewards. They do not have the necessary systems in place to tackle bannable behavior, and have such lax rules on what constitutes bannable behavior that it beggars belief.

I genuinely cannot fathom why this game is "mostly positive." All this game has going for it is being the most successful asymmetric PvP game.

A very sweet story that was drastically different from what I went in expecting but pleasant all the same.

This VN is entirely too high quality to be free. It is kinetic, but a few bucks would still be worth the read.

This review is based only on episodes 1 and 2.

Rarely does a sequel outperform the original. Before the Storm does so, and it does it loudly and in your face. After playing the original Life is Strange, you would think that there isn't room for major character development for Chloe or that being hooked into the events of Before the Storm wouldn't be possible, since you ultimately know how it ends. But Before the Storm proves that sometimes the destination is infinitely less important thatn the journey.

If you liked Life is Strange, the choice is cut and dry. You should play Before the Storm.

* (Committing genocide fills you with determination.)

Undertale is a love-it-or-have-it game. There's just no other way to say it. It has: a very flavorful sense of humor, quirky characters, an emotional story, excessive dogs, and a very strange RPG/Rhythm/Bullet Hell mix of a battle system. All of those aspects can be good things or bad things depending entirely on your unique personal tastes. So I can't recommend the game because of them.

What I can recommend the game for is possibly the best decision-oriented designs I've ever seen in a video game. It's a game that lets you to crawl through its story as you please the first time, then begs you to replay as a pacifist for the happiest ending, but then tempts you to play as a genocider to see how far you can go. And if you can go far, you are ensured to have a bad time.

All in all Undertale is one thing boiled down to its essense. DETERMINATION.

It shocks me how easily I got sucked into this game after starting it despite not originally having any intention of being interested in it. It's amazing how intense a game about paper-pushing can be when every second feels like it counts and there is such a large list of things you need to constantly double-check for. Unless it has Simulator in the title, I don't think you could find a game that rivals how boring this game sounds, yet is many more times fun. It borders on art.
