Early Access Review
So, I find myself joining the foray a little late here in reviewing STUFFED. STUFFED has you taking the role of a little girl named Ellie's stuffed teddy bear. As this teddy bear, your goal is to protect your sleeping owner from a multitude of nightmares, which also happen to take the form of whimsical toys and... oddly enough, garden gnomes.

The good:
- World design. Procedurally generated, bright, and vibrant.
- Weapon design. Get your "sticc" ready! Or "the Penalty", and shoot those soccer balls!
- Multiple customizations.
- Simple gameplay.
- Has multiplayer mode.

The bad:
- Some animations seem a bit... off. Like the flying robots.
- Sometimes, if positioned poorly, enemies can hit you and you can't hit them.
- Almost none of the advanced 'nightmares' are covered in the tutorial, e.g. the inflatable sharks which are near a one-hit kill for the player.
- Multiplayer mode available, but nobody ever playing in a public lobby.
- Simple gameplay gets boring and repetitive, quickly.

I had a lot of fun playing this game. The simple, repetitive gameplay loop is rather catchy. Move around, knock out some nightmares, spend points to make that job even easier... wash, rinse, and repeat. I'd not want to play this game for super long sessions, but an hour or two here and there, and this game fills a void that I didn't know existed.

With the rich, vibrant world and the gameplay being straight forward, I found myself easily sinking three hours into this game despite the fact that I was exceptionally ill the first time I played. I found myself wanting to do "just one more round" to try and get customization options unlocked. Suited up in metallic purple knight armor, my rainbow tiger skinned bear marched onward to protect Ellie from the multitude of garden gnomes and little rubber duckies. It was the perfect mix of adorable with some sometimes-frantically-paced action.

Can I recommend this game? If you're playing solo or have a few friends going into it with you? Absolutely. If you're expecting to buy this game and play with random people in the multiplayer mode? I can not.

Overall, this game gets a pass, but with so few people actively playing at any given moment, the multiplayer is very much dead. For what it's worth, I enjoyed playing it, and I plan on going back for more.

So, this is a pretty fun game. I'm not the biggest fan of roguelikes, but it's pretty damn awesome. Very entertaining, especially if you mod the heck out of it. I play this with my Twitch viewers regularly because reasons. Worth a look, at least.
