I actually think the launch has been a success, only complaints I've seen have been server related and nothing to do with the gameplay.

I grew up playing games, I remember my first online game that I played on launch day was call of duty 4 mw, we had the same server issues, every online game has them on launch day/week.

Now that I have grown up and work in the games industry myself I'm aware that a good portion of player base leaves after the initial launch either never playing again, playing very rarely, inconsistently or only during big updates. It would be pointless for them to upscale the servers and then having 10% of current launch player base leave which would solve the issue on its own. You have to remember that they are still a pretty small games studio and that's a lot of money to upscale servers and kind of pointless since player base will stabilise within first 1 to 2 weeks.

Point is you don't upscale your servers increasing the server cost with the idea that you will be downscaling them after a month. That isn't unusual in the industry. People who are unhappy righ now are just normies who won't stick around in the long run anyway, it seems like they are new to gaming when they are unaware of these issues, they aren't the target audience. I think some newer players truly have unrealistic expectations on how a launch is supposed to go.
