GOTY'18
It is games like these, we PC-gamers missed out on for ages because of Japan.
After Dark Souls opened the doors, we can finally experience new and fresh games.
If you never played Monster Hunter before like me, pick this one up.

After 20+h of playtime, I feel I can write this up.
Just like Dark Souls, it has a slow "likability-start" and gets interesting once you understood the gameplay.
That is not to say this is like Dark Souls, it grabbed the Soul and Bonfire stuff, sure. Most importantly It does not treat the player as a dumbass, nothing gets handfeeded and I enjoy that most about the Souls games.
The combat is more like a Devil May Cry and feels nothing like Dark Souls, I mean, there isn't even a shield!

Recommended for people who dont like being spoonfed and enjoy the road of discovery, a nice change of pace.
