Now, I normally don't play games like these because I've never found Metroidvania games appealing to me, but this game really sticks out for me. I REALLY like this game. I love the style of the game, I love the combat and movement this game has, and I ESPECIALLY love the lil jet guy you play as, "Bogey".
This demo is a little long, but not too long as well. It took me about 2 hours to beat, and I was trying my best to find every collectible and area! So there's totally enough content in here to savor every second of this game.
I hope for great things to happen to this game in the future, and I'll definitely be looking forward to this game's release whenever it comes out!

(Fun fact: I was so quick to judge that I've now made 3 edits on this review. Whoops)
TL:DR: Triouts, Vizets, and blinking are rather a pain to play with, but the game is still fun either way, just wish there were some changes that could make these 3 mechanics more pleasant to play with. Also, an FOV setting would be nice.

I recommend this rhythm game, but I do have some quips about the gameplay
There are 3 things I find in this game to be rather TOO challenging to read, and those are the Triout notes (The triangles you break through), the Vizets (The targeting missiles that can only be avoided by blinking on time), and the blink feature in general.

Starting with the Triouts, they're a fun note to play with, don't get me wrong, but sometimes, with enough Triouts, or when you're preoccupied, you can easily fumble a Triout note when you least expect it, and it throws you off course with the chart, causing you to miss the simpler circle notes (Parans) that were placed near the Triout you missed. What would make these notes easier to see is if we had an FOV setting, so the Triout isn't always at the edges of my screen, away from where the gameplay usually sits at.

Second, the Vizets. These are missiles that you must avoid by blinking, hitting certain notes that grant brief invincibility, or having Etherzet with you so they can cancel them out (Obtained by hitting certain notes). This note mechanic would be neat if it weren't for the fact that these Vizets can be EASILY blended in with all the other particle effects that are in the game. This will cause a player like me to panic press my blink key whenever I get to a part of a song where I remember I got hit by a Vizet, which I could NOT SEE because I thought it was a normal particle effect.

And finally, the blink mechanic in general. As I mentioned, blink is used to dodge the Vizets, and it has no other use past that. Also, when you blink, obviously your cursor will be put out of place, and if you blink in the wrong direction, you may end up blinking farther from where the Parans are spawning, which makes you want to blink less, but blinking less means getting hit by more Vizets.

With all that said, my first impressions on this game are good, I like it! It's a cute little rhythm game and all, but all I hope for is that these 3 features of the game that I've talked about get some kind of proper QOL changes. What I'd like to see is the Vizets being more visible to see, making them stand out more instead of blending in with every particle in the game. For Triouts, I'm not so sure, but the game has a "True Trail" setting that basically will show a yellow trail that can help a player know where the next note is. And finally, the blink mechanic? Not entirely sure too honestly, sorry.

And one final note, as I said, I do recommend this game, and I do find this game really enjoyable, and I think it's worth giving a try. If I am wrong about anything, please let me know, because this is just my first impression of the game, and any game tips would be appreciated!

White Knuckle does demos right, giving the player an enjoyable and replayable experience that can make a player like me really want to buy the full thing and have more to play with.
Even before the game came out in early access, this demo version alone is so much fun. The demo contains the first two areas, "Silos", and "Pipeworks". These two areas are bundled together as a district called "Underworks", and your goal is to make your way past these two areas to reach the end of the demo. You may even find yourself replaying the demo to see how fast you can scale your way to the end of the demo, or to see if you can 100% the demo's achievements!
If you're unsure about White Knuckle, then playing the demo is a must.

Heartbeats is a simple, yet oddly addicting game that throws you into a rather clever way of representing what it's like to resist a panic attack as a bullet hell shmup styled game. Now I normally don't play bullet hell games because I suck at dodging overwhelming amounts of moving obstacles, but I still find this game to be very enjoyable! The visuals look cool, and the action leaves me wanting to come back and try again to see if I can beat a run.
For what it is, I say that this game is worth the price!

For what it is, this game totally deserves 10 bucks. If you're a fan of parkour games, and Source engine's quirky movement tech like bhopping and surfing, this will absolutely satisfy the "parkour monkey" inside your brain

An alternative to osu!mania, what else is there to say? It's fun, and you can port your osu!beatmaps into this game if you so please.
(Also, 4 key and 7 key have separate leaderboards. Huge W)

Early Access Review
What if you wanted to hit a normal tap note after just hitting a bumper note on that side, but god said:
FAILED

Jokes aside, this is a pretty solid free to play rhythm game with a really cool art style, and with gameplay that will leave even the most expert 4 key rhythm game players confused.

The game features a story that can be played through to unlock songs, but if story driven rhythm games aren't your cup of tea and you wish to just jump right into the game, vivid/stasis offers the player accessibility options that can make currency grinding easier, make unlock requirements easier, or remove all requirements entirely, if you really want to get straight to the point, or if you're struggling with the game's challenges and want a difficulty decrease.

The story itself so far, I have not finished yet, and as of writing this review, I'm only on chapter 2, but I can safely say that this game has gotten me interested in its story. Loving it so far!

And finally, the added feature of "bumper" notes make normal 4 key gameplay into more of a challenge, because it's now up to the player to hit these notes the most efficient way with slick finesse. These notes are confusing at first, but after for playing for a good amount of time, it starts to become more easy to hit these bumpers and taps! My main complaint however is that sometimes, when you ever hit a bumper a little awkwardly, like tapping both keys on one side to hit one bumper, if there's a tap note in front of it, it will hit that tap note too early sometimes, giving me a bad judgement, or a miss entirely, thus why I made the joke at the beginning of this review.

If you're a long time VSRG player, or a new rhythm game player, I hope that you too find some enjoyment out of this game, even if you're not here for the story and are just here for the game itself.

Thumper is one of the most challenging rhythm games I've played, and really does live up to its "rhythm violence" description.
100% this game on keyboard only. It was a very fun experience, but also very frustrating at times for the game's tough timing windows and complicated rhythms through out the game's soundtrack. Thumper truly is a violent rhythm game for what it is, which can make you feel amazing when you beat one of it's difficult levels with an S rank!
If you're looking for a rhythm game that will push you to the limit, then Thumper is definitely one of the games I would recommend.

old man's geometry dash

Other than that, it's exactly what the game title says, it's "impossible". The only known issue I know is that the game freezes up randomly, which forces me to restart the game, but I can live with that since it happens like every half hour to an hour.
Imma be honest, I prefer this game over Geometry Dash, the old and simple aesthetic pleases me :3

When you're in a mood to play rhythm games but you also want to play some kind of FPS as well.
It's simple really, shoot, reload, and dash on the beat while you fight your way through randomly generated dungeons just to kill a giant dragon, I really love the idea. And on top of that, the game has different characters to play as, each character having their own unique way of playing and can give the player a good challenge. Spoiler alert! Two examples of these characters being a character that starts with zero health, one hit being instant death, and another character starts with good amount of health but goes down slowly over time if the player doesn't damage and kill enough enemies in time
The game also have 4 different difficulties, Practice, Easy, Hard, and Hellish. Fair warning about Hellish, it can be very difficult for a player like me that's good at playing Hard mode lol.

That's really all I got to say about this game, I can see myself playing this game for most likely a lot more months, maybe even a year! I guess I just got nothing better to do :P
