I will be fully transparent, I picked this game up because the idea of PvE Exclusive gameplay is more for me, I'm not into PvP or PvPvE like the other games in this space.

Right now the game is small, 1 map, 4 primary quests, 5 secondary objectives, and you'll probably only build 2 or 3 guns to be done with it. However, the AI is decently scaled from what I have played, on all levels it moves sensibly, seeking cover and moving to disadvantage the player's position, and the reaction times and accuracy go from casual relaxed play to needing full focus.

The gunplay feels light, for lack of a better word, with very little visual impact and minimal feedback for shooting, despite this it is engaging and satisfying at most ranges. The guns themselves are nicely detailed, with animated safety/selectors, detailed magazines, multi function attachments, and have a variety of different parts that will noticeably change how they play.

The one map we do have is very well made, both from a gameplay and graphical perspective. There are 3.5 primary areas where you will engage the AI, and all provide very different experiences from very close range corner checking, to multilevel mid range fighting, and one even having some long lanes where magnification will be your friend. The set dressing, models, textures, lighting, water and reflections on high settings (5900x, 4080, 64GB 3600MHz) are all beautiful, leveraging the full potential of Unreal 5, and its Lumen. I can get a rock solid 60 without even trying, and can push for a 90 with some deviation or even 120, however at 120 I notice significant stutters and framedrops in mission.

Definitely early to pick this game up, but worth it if you don't mind the limited content as it stands, and hopefully in the near future we get another map to explore.

This game is will make you tear your hair out, and have you falling out of your chair with laughter. It has many problems, from sniper and vehicle spam, to a bizarre obsession with playing only 2 maps. Despite all of that there is nothing quite as fun as bombing down a road 6 deep in a Humvee, slamming it through a wall catching 12 people off guard, splattering 3 right away, before hopping out to gun down 8 more, leaving the last sniper scrambling to escape the roof as you all det the C4 blocks covering the Humvee sending the whole building clattering down around his ears.

Is it as good as Borderlands 2? Personally I think not, it lacks in diversity of playstyle and characters, and the writing just misses the mark for a lot of the content. However, the QoL changes, movement, gunplay, available characters and just general gameplay are smoother, more enjoyable and far more engaging from a mechanical standpoint.

TL:DR If you want to run around with cool guns and don't care about story 100% recommend, if you're in it for the story wait for a sale.

I got this game early in development, when there was some questions about the amount of content. All I can say is from the get go I have enjoyed every minute I've put in. Anton and the rest of his team are clearly dedicated to not only bringing a wide variety of firearms into the virtual space, but also in creating fun and interesting modes to use them in. If you want to just plink targets in VR, get this game. If you want to face wave after wave of sentient hotdogs while hacking a mainframe, get this game If you want to survive a rotweiner apocalypse, get this game. It has a little for everyone, and a lot to give. Plus you can keep up to date on the behind the scenes with Anton's DevLogs on youtube.

Well Take-2 are "Working with OpenIV" so I feel ok recommending this game again.

Slow to start, annoying to carry on, but with a few friends. This waste of time will provide a surprising amount of enjoyment.
