It took me almost exactly half a year but I finally caught 100 gnomes.

They have cosmetics for sale and yet nothing works properly. You can't use Beta as an excuse when you're taking people's money.

I'm here to play some games not read a picture book. Had to start skipping the story by chapter 2.
There is no visual novel tag on the store page and the trailer is filled with the 3D gameplay with only small snippets of dialogue. It creates the illusion that the game is primarily combat and exploration when in reality it's about 75% text dump. What little story I did soak in was fine but nothing spectacular and the same goes for the actual gameplay, it's just serviceable. A good portion of the side-quests are guarded behind exhausting all dialogue with every npc in the hubs or Tales of style "skits". The graphics/animation is fine albeit a little Unity stiff, the environments are very flat and boxy however I can't exactly fault it for that when a bunch of AAA titles pull the same crap. One thing that really bummed me out towards the end was when I completed these 3 side-quests for each of the characters to get their "ultimate weapon" only for the last zone in the game to give me better weapons.
You can see a few of the characters' underwear though which is a nice feature yet once again this is only serviceable due to many other characters not having the same attention to detail. I hope this is improved upon in any of the developer's future work.
There's nothing here that really stands out that I can recommend someone go out of their way to experience.

The platforming and level design is somehow much worse and jankier than the Sonic Adventure games. You're either going too slow or too fast for each section of a puzzle. There is pointless puzzles LITTERING every open world island that HIJACK your camera if you so much as tiptoe near them as you're trying to travel and your directional movement is always flown off axis based on whatever random angle the camera decides for each part of the puzzle. Sometimes the opposite will happen as you're doing a platforming puzzle the camera just gives out and flings you into the abyss.
The combat is donkey balls and feels unnecessary. And the skill tree & stat levels are horribly balanced, you get everything half way through the game and have to go into the options to disable pieces of the hud that serve no purpose. I guess they included those bits to false advertise to the RPG crowd.
Story and music is cheesy but that's a given.
I did the 100% as well as other optional crap that don't count towards the 100% and don't see myself ever returning.
One of the worst Sonic games I've tried.
