TLDR: Game is super fun especially once you get the hang of it. If you're considering it then just buy it.

Longer part:

The game really brings the atmosphere together with the music. Sure, metal music fits the whole hell aesthetic easily as is, but the layering of the OST never feels wonky or off. I never experience a point where the music just stopped, restarted, or broke my immersion for any reason. The weapons are fun and all have a good reason to use. I don't really feel like any single weapon outshines the other. Of course it's easier to just shoot further enemies with a gun than charge them with the sword, but the movement is very forgiving so it's not even really a problem except maybe higher difficulties. I'm basing my experience off of the lowest difficulty just vibing so 🤷🏻‍♂️

The only other thing I'll add is that the DLC looks cool and while the skins do give bonuses you can't get without I don't feel that they're so crazy that someone should be upset about it. If you're really wanting to grind high scores then I guess I could see some frustration, but it's really not expensive. The bonus tracks DLC seems neat, but as reviews state a lot of the songs are weird because they're not layered like the OST and can break immersion or even the rhythm not matching.

Overall I'd say the game is an 8/10. Story is good, but not too long. Still provides a challenge even on easiest difficulty, but not enough to make you go crazy trying to beat a level. Art and effects are awesome. Good game :)

You won't regret getting this game. From casual to competitive its a fun game all around.
