Early Access Review
When I saw this game and realised it had cute goblins (imps), I showed my girlfriend and she immediately bought it for us both, and I quickly realised how much I adore it. While I love the combat myself, a few friends didn't gel with it, which was sadly a deal breaker for them because they otherwise largely loved the charm of the game's aesthetics.

I've primarily played Bandit, the gameplay of which I adore (didn't connect much with Mystic and haven't tried Fighter yet). I personally think however that classes ought to be available sooner, maybe level 5, since in a first playthrough a couple of hours may pass before you ultimately get the actual meat of your playstyle (for those who've played FFXIV, imagine playing ARR dungeons in levelling roulette and losing your job's core gameplay appeal). Another class or two also might not go amiss, especially ones that care about having more than one power stat (spellsword/slinger, anyone?)

In terms of weapons, I personally would appreciate a little more variety, or at least more differentiation between the ones we already have; Bells most notably stand out as feeling quite unique, but the likes of Swords/Katars don't really have much aside from slightly different charge attacks (making mastery scrolls available from the start instead of level 10 would also be nice, to allow for more early build variety). The presence of Might/Agility/Flux Stones makes me wish there was a particular benefit to, for example, building a Bandit with a Dex Sword instead of Katars, aside from just having an aesthetic preference for swords. (Side note btw, please make Stat Stones also change the inherent +Power values accordingly, it feels bad seeing +Attack on a Mind-scaling weapon). The fact that certain skills like Venom Shot require "a ranged weapon" when only Bows actually qualify implies to me that others may come down the line, like maybe crossbows or kunai.

A considerable amount of my issues, honestly, are things I can easily put down to an early access release. The dev seems to regard this as a passion project, and more time will certainly see it build on the potential it absolutely has. It's a blast to play with friends, and I've levelled multiple characters alongside new players as more and more of them have been swayed by the furry agenda game's aforementioned charm (the option to sync down to another party member's level would be nice for the sake of not constantly making alts).

I know I spent a lot of this review mentioning gripes (I find it easier to comment on criticisms), but it's still a thumbs up for a reason. I adore this game, and I would love to see it thrive even more. The bosses have fun mechanics, the mobility of dodging and reactive nature of parries makes core combat feel rewarding, and I once again have to stress: this game is really pretty even with its old-gen graphics style. I seriously look forward to seeing this game grow ^^

As of writing this review I'm sitting on nearly 300 hours played and expect this number to continue climbing. There's so much content, all of which (except the Behemoth crossover content ofc) is not only enjoyable, but deep and variable enough to not get old any time soon - on top of this, they're still releasing free content, and we're soon getting the Iceborn expansion as well.

That being said, don't expect a great amount from online pickup groups (as with any other online game tbh) - find a few mates and just have FUN together.
