part 2. ranger bardin CAN however, have a VERY fun little ranged build out of his new throwing axes. they're a bit tricky to use, meaning you do have to learn them, but he gets a stack of 5 of them, and his 5th axe benefits from his +25 % power when out of ammo talent, giving that last axe a nice extra bit of '♥♥♥♥ you, die' plus, since he can hold the reload button 'r' key to have his magical throwing axes fly back to his hand, thor style, he never needs his ammo drops from specials etc, which means if you run the 30% extra drops, your ranged weapons for everyone else will have far more ammo, OR you can take the potion drop trait, and everyone can be ghugging far more pots in a map.

in answer to your question, bounty hunter has some decent work out of ranged, especially if you take his damage reduction trait for every dead special the team kills, (gives you 30 % dmg reduction for the whole 2/3 , 1/2 the map on higher difficulties) and his magazine stack ranged power talent, lets you give your volley xbow BH a flat 15% extra ranged power.

unfortunately DoomGuy shotgun build has been erased entirely. not only have they nerfed bardin's shotgun to NOT return 1 ammo on his infinite target rifle smashes, no longer allowing you to rifle smash a wave for all your ammo back, but they also took away his shotgun spread trait.
