Game runs poorly. Camera keeps zooming in weird ways during combat. Crashed multiple times. Combat is a downgrade from the original.

Great atmosphere and combat. Though many other parts of the game are pretty bad: Optimization, camera angles which cause enemies to ambush you off screen (my biggest complaint), needing to gather ingredients to make meals (health potions), timers for building things (like a mobile game).

Optimization is still trash a whole year and half after it released. The combat is janky, missed dodge/parry inputs (probably because of optimization issues), rubber banding back to the enemy monster hands. Platforming is mid but not really my thing. The story, graphics (when running smoothly), and music are great though. If they ever fix the performance issues I'll probably try and play again.

Walk around and listen to whiny son, mash 2 buttons during combat, watch uninteresting story cut scene, repeat... BOY (said in brooding voice)!!!

Click and wait, click and wait, click and wait. No thought, no strategy, just click and wait. Terrible game.

Fast fun game play loop I can play in short burst with one hand so I can still hold me kid. Love it!

I really need to start trying games out before the refund period expires. I got this on sale and still feel like I got ripped off. This game feels like a early 2000s game and if released then would have been OK. The game play experience is railed with the formula being cinematic, explore corridor, fight enemies, repeat. I wouldn't recommend unless you wanted a bland repetitive action game from the early 2000s but then you could just play an actually good early 2000s game like Darksiders.

Assets take forever to load in on a good computer. Game play is extremely basic/generic. Maybe good to play with your kid as their first ARPG but not really for me.

Trash! Torchlight 2 is still the best in the series.

Atmosphere is cool, otherwise everything else is meh. The voice over is annoying, mashing Q and E to make a potion is annoying, the lack of clues which requires brute forcing puzzles is annoying. Overall a pretty yet annoying experience.
