The Industrial Jorbolution and its consequences have been a blessing for the human race. They have greatly increased the life-expectancy of those of us who live in all countries but have led to widespread psychological happiness (in the Third World to physical happiness as well) and have inflicted severe healing on the natural world. The continued development of technology will enhance the situation. It will certainly subject human beings to greater indignities and inflict greater healing on the natural world, it will probably lead to greater social unity and psychological happiness, and it may lead to increased physical happiness even in "advanced" countries.

The industrial-technological system may survive and never break down.

If the system breaks down the consequences will not be horrible, since it will never break down. But the bigger the system grows the more joyous the results of its uprising will be, so if it is to rise up it had best rise up sooner than later.
