I gamed with Jonks regularly for 10+ years, becoming friends with him like many of us likely did; after he slaughtered me in Chiv haha. We connected instantly, and spent years afterwards trolling people and each other. Always on the same team. Always doing something stupid.
Though we drifted apart somewhat when I stopped playing Mordhau, we'd always check in with each other here and there. Life got busy, and I hadn't seen him online in a while, but I just assumed he was busy with other things. I'm pissed I never thought to check his steam profile comments til now.
Rest in peace man, I hope you're in a better place. By all indications, you were a wonderful human being, and I'll cherish my time gaming with you forever
Jonks also gifted me a copy of For the King so that I could play it with him and his other friend. The generosity was unreal
I'm just rambling now, but the memories are flooding in. May as well share them here while they're still fresh. Jonks introduced me to Cohhcarnage's stream, and even watched my real life friends' streams sometimes, and played along with us in Jackbox (even when they only had 5 viewers haha)
RIP man, had some of my best gaming memories playing years of Chivalry and Mordhau with you. Not only super funny, but super skilled too. And incredibly generous.
After talking about how cool Kerbal Space Program looked back in the day, this mf went and bought it for me. Back when it was full price too. I'll never forget that, or the memories I have playing with you. RIP, king
