A very interesting take on a top down RPG.
Likes
--Great lore and backstory, plenty of in game books to read and conversations to be had with the npcs all around the world that explain the world and people around you
--Visual character development, you can see your character/s growing strong as you train/fight/craft with them
--Massive world. I've played this game for 150 hours (seperate playthroughs) and havent even discovered everything
--Brutal end game. The strongest npcs are just that, the strongest, combating them will take a lot of effort and training.
--Statistics galore, if you're into that
--Base building is very relaxing, while not being raided by bandits
--Can play the game in a variety of ways, can be a farmer, wanderer, warlord, martial arts master, trader, beastmaster, or even a slave. To progress the games narrative though, it always comes down to violence.
DISLIKES
--Stats begin to plateau and things can become grindy, what once was gained naturally, you will have to go out of your way to grind for if you want the strongest characters
--What you thought was once a wiped out faction will keep sending raids to your base eventhough their captial cities are destroyed
--A lot of dialog and game progression feels like it is lacking, which the dev has admitted to. (Mods can remedy some of these issues.)
--Characters can become stuck and glitch along the game world
--Pathing for you characters can sometimes bug out

All in all it is a very fun, satisfying, and addicting game. Would recommend.

The amount builds and variety of those builds a single character can have is enough to keep me hooked. On top of that the world is fantastic, so much lore and locales to discover. Also the length of the game is fantastic, I've been playing for 29 hours on one character and I feel like I've barely scratched the surface. If you're looking to a great and even better alternative to Diablo, this is it.

Not new player friendly, but there are many other players ready and willing to help. Once you get the hang of things there is so much content to do it can be slightly overwhelming. A good game to grind if ya got that itch though.

Pros:
-Fantastic soundtrack
-Immersive atmosphere
-Good story
-Great Companions and companion/npc dialouge
-Fun combat, although it be not everyones cup of tea, it is turn based
-Just a really fun/memorable game all around

Cons:
-For me, it lacks replayability, there are some choices you can make differently in a new playthough but I havent felt the need to go through the entire game again. I enjoyed it my first time around with no guides and it was one of the most entrhalling gaming experiences i've had. Not really a con, just the only downside ive come across in this fantastic game.
