One of the most unrewarding and unfun rps fighting games out atm. So many awesome things lost from the older Guilty Gear and ArcSys games to apeal more to the casual player. I wish fighting games in current year weren't designed for idiots and actually gave the players options and rewarded them for time investment, rather than seeing who has faster frame data at round start or mashing invincible overdrive or grab off get up. So ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to see a game like this at Evo rather than some other fgc's that deserve so much more light but don't get it because marketing and dev size. So many things in this game are so degenerate and reward the player for drooling on the controller until it short circuits to where the inputs are random and they'll still pull a win out of their ass. So many random nerfs and balances that make no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sense and just guts characters to shift around the meta so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ don't get bored of the same matches rather than learning a matchup. Having mained a character since release and then having some random changes to the kit to where they now no longer play the way they once did makes me feel like all the time I've put into them is pointless when the fun I had with said characters is back in an older patch. Playing friendlies with the same people over and over has shown me how simple this game can be when boiled down since it eventually becomes punish your friends for the same dumb habits they can't break. But all the ♥♥♥♥ habits are never called out for on ladder to where it feels like you're playing opponents who dont even look at your character while playing. Guess it's not the game for me. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. At least the music is good. Daisuke should stick to that.
