Why should you listen to me when i say this kid is lame? Oh, I dunno, perhaps the fact that my annual income is six figures, I have an excellent professional IT career with some great contract work on the side, I'm in a stable, long term relationship with lots of friends who "accept" me in society, and I'm not afraid of and stand behind my opinions. That helps. I fail to see what is wrong with expressing appreciation, as long as you also express criticism when warranted. Check my history. I've done both.
Sorry that we can't all be 21 year olds in their final year of university, not having had the chance to be as successful, who are seeking out Reddit of all places for relationship advice and trying to be edgy with Reddit cynicism.
Don't get me wrong - I don't judge anyone who just happens to be in this situation, but the lesson you should learn is that you shouldn't judge anyone else prematurely, lest you be judged by others not as kind as I am.
