I think this game is great, but for a certain audience, for some who liked the less competitive engines of brawl and SSB4, this will be a hard sell, though not impossible through tutorials. without the basics of this game mastrered you pretty much cant get the full experience and enjoyment out of the game, nor can you just hop straight into an online match. BUT, the stereotypical melee fan will not be disappointed, but that isnt the only demo catered to. This is a platform fighter made for the competitive audience but not accidentally like melee, the characters are well made (except elliana imo, although the idea behind her is great). You have to come into this game with the intentions of AT LEAST mastering the basics, but if you don't enjoy the competitive aspects of pro smash whether it be melee or 4,this game is a hard sell, though nerdy and elitist mechanics such as wavedashing are made easier for it not to have as great of a skill wall as melee does. Overall this game is made for pro smash fans (specifically melee), mastered to a T, but if you aren't as into it through time and dedication you'll find as much enjoyment as thy will.
