Resident Evil 7 is the second ever Resident Evil I played and it's the first I played on my own.
I've been introduced to the franchise through the movies and not gonna lie I liked it. Some years later I played my first RE game, it was RE5 on PS3. It was nothing like the movies and at the time I was a little bit disappointed.
I liked the game but it wasn't what I expected. I never played a RE game since then.
When I saw the trailer for RE8 I knew I had to play it, but for that I had to play RE7 and boy I'm glad I did.

I love horror movies even if I'm a big scaredy-cat. And playing this has been the worst and best horror experience of my life. I can't recomend it enough. If you like horror you can't go wrong with this game. It's not very hard (haven't played madhouse difficulty) but the atmosphere, the sound design everything about this game is here to make you scared of even moving and they do a hell of a job at it.
