Is it a fun game? yes. EDIT: Game is extremely fun, verges on addicting. But I'm keeping the below because the tutorial is truly abysmal, just look up a video

Is the tutorial at all useful? absolutely not, if you follow it your colony will die during the first drought. Its kind of ridiculous that I need to look up external videos to figure out how to keep the colony alive. The game could also benefit from some more micromanaging abilities, like maybe conserving food and water during droughts. My beavers basically gorge to their hearts content at all times, unsurprisingly leading to running out of food and water almost immediately after a drought starts.

After quitting and starting the game up again there is a game breaking error, which requires full reinstallation before I can play again. This happens every time, and has happened multiple times in a row.

Additional thoughts: Look, there are a lot of things to love about this game, I am enjoying a lot of things. However, the AI is seemingly braindead, I just had a colonist nearly die of hypothermia while there was literally an unused coat sitting in storage he refused to put on (not a nudist), and without a complete overhaul of mods I dont know that I would enjoy the game very much. Its good but I would definitely try to wait for a sale unless you're desperate for a time sink.

(Old Review)My doctor ignored a prisoner dying of infection for over 14 in game hours even though I changed his settings to where doctoring was his only concern. Now he is bummed because he "cant believe we just let a prisoner die like that"... I can get behind losing colonists or prisoners to RNG events, but this was just ridiculous. If someone knows that I am just missing something please tell me, otherwise this seems like a ridiculous bug for a game thats been out for so long. (My roommate told me what went wrong, this had less to do with bad AI and more to do with little to no explanation of the "100% cured" not actually meaning the prisoner has been cured, still not really satisfied tbh)

I'm gonna start off by saying I really love this game and love the base storyline and character built up in this game, which is probably why I hate this DLC so much. I bought the ultimate edition because I heard the atlantis story was well done but I figured I would check this out. This DLC takes a game where choices matter and where you are free to set up the story for your character, and takes all of that away. I'll go into more detail below but TLDR SPOILERS You're forced into a relationship with the most boring person in ancient greece, after having like 3 conversations

The story of "The Order" and Darius fighting with them is interesting enough I guess, this is the redeeming part of the DLC. Really wish they had just intro'd Darius and left it at that because the forced love story makes me want to delete this DLC from my game (but there are unique items so of course I will finish it). The love story writing is much worse than anything George lucas ever wrote up for anakin, and the fact that you are given the illusion of a choice makes things so much worse. I read another review that said you were originally forced to have a child with Mr. or Mrs. Boring but that eventually they into'd a choice into the DLC. apparently they undid that because even though I have not once in the entire 10 I have talked to this man have I ever picked the flirting option, yet here I am with a f*@#kin kid now. hope my kid never finds out I already banged all of the greek world. and just for a final annoyance, a lot of the cutscenes are animated very poorly, like characters "running away" from soldiers but going walking speed, and awkward moments where characters stare and make facial expressions in silence (worse than the main story)

Long story short, don't buy this DLC separately, it is one of if not the worst I have ever played. If you get it as part of the ultimate edition, just push through the main story for some cool items, and Darius is an interesting enough character to make at least like 10-20% of the story interesting.

Great game, really fun and similar to mario kart, and I was having a ton of fun only thing I wish I could change is I'd put the respawn on a button because the respawn engine is really really weird.

This game is a really great fighting game unlike any ive played. ♥♥♥♥ is tight as ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥
