So far so good. Let's see if they'll stabilize the performance issues & crashes for the final release.

Update 1: So far the game has been released for a while. Still absolutely unfinished. But hey - the cash shop is there to suck in the FOMO people. Hopefully in Update 2 I will change my thumbs back to up.

This game is an absolute indie gem! It's a must play for anyone who might have an even remote interest after seeing the trailer! It's awesome!

An absolute amazing blast of a very well made game. Tons of feels, humor, life lessons mashed into a platter of unique experience and awesome artistic approach. The first game was an absolute blast and I still play it sometimes to this day. And this - this is simply an upgrade of it in every possible way! :3

PS: 50 hours later I've completed the main story. I've had the fortune of playing more games than most people on this planet. So instead of writing a wall of text, I'll just say that this is one of the best games I've ever played to date. The feels, the gameplay, the story, the music, the experience, the feels. So buy this game & dive in Shibuya to erase those factoring hectopascals!

An absolute amazing Battle Royale in the World of Darkness which dropped seemingly out of nowhere!
To get the bad out of the way - it definitely needs to be more optimized as even powerful rigs have issues in certain spots on the map.
As for the good & the great - everything is surprisingly amazing! The guns feel really responsive and while there's skill to the aim, it's not CS:GO type of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Each weapon has it's own specific use and there isn't even one which is absolutely meaningless bcs another exists in the game.
The melee combat is also surprisingly fun and feels really smooth from what I expected at first. I already won 2 games in a roll solo queue with melee only weapons so it's not just doable but really frigin' viable!
The unique World of Darkness themed mechanics like the requirement to uphold the Masquerade are both fun lore wise but also from a mechanics perspective.
The perks of each archetype (character) allows you to fine tune your build and the way you want to approach the game without making you overpowered even if you've maxed out a specific archetype. Their effects affect mostly the early game.
The unique both active & passive abilities of each archetype are mostly original, feel great & unique, and are fun to use.
Also imo the lack of an "ultimate" type of skill means that your personal skill as a player matters much more unlike in other games where you could just get nuked by a bunch of ults at the same time and there's often times nothing that you can do about it for real.
There are also some obvious inspirations from Apex Legends outside the gameplay. For ex. the way you pick your archetype before a match starts. Or the way the Battle Pass operates. They've even copied some things like the amount of premium currency required to purchase the BP. Or the entire payment model where the game is free, there's zero P2W and the devs rely on cosmetics only to get money for their product - which is epic! But these are good things for Bloodhunt bcs in Apex they are executed really well already.

Overall I can keep praising the game while pointing out an issue here or there for quite a while long.

But I'll just leave this review on a final note - PLAY THIS GEM!

Hands down this is FromSoft's Magnum Opus!
Quite possibly the best game made to date!

Top down one of the best co-op experiences I've ever had to date! All you need is a great buddy of yours and you're set! :)
