A surprisingly awesome game. Might be the best survival game I've played to date.

Fun game to play with friends.
Gonna downvote it for being the 1000th game which refuses to make a Duo mode which is what everyone always asks for in all of these games. But noo - we gotta be forced into Trios bcs it's tried & tested that when having 1 random to ♥♥♥♥ up your Duos, people are queueing more & more until they FINALLY get to play 1 good game. Instead of playing a couple of great games with your friend & calling it for the session. Metrics show that Trio leads to more games regardless of the user's enjoyment. So I downvote your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ metrics.

PS: I was just informed that the game actually had a Duo mode but it got sacked in favor of Trios, which makes it even worse. I originally assumed that they simply didn't care to make a Duo mode. :D

This is such a blast from the past. Every 5 years or so I randomly go back to this game and replay it. It's one of those 10/10 amongst the average titles of the past. It was close to being one of the big titles of forever. Yet like many other games at the time of great experimentation and creativity, it missed some marks and sadly fell into obscurity throughout the years.
The game even has a Fame (highscore) system and I can't find a single place online where people compare their Fame.
Today we live in a world of overabundance. So nothing stays in middle. Things are either the next best thing after discovering fire or they're complete forgotten.
This game deserves to be remembered at least a little bit. The atmosphere, the gameplay and even the aesthetics of the graphics actually hold up in 2025. I would genuinely have fun competing with people for Fame points if SteamDB wasn't showing just me & 1 other person playing this cool little blast from the past.

An amazing experience. Exceptional gameplay. Extremely rare case where co-op is beautiful but also works seamlessly even with randoms. Such a rare case in the gaming industry. 99% of randoms have been respectful and teamplay oriented - both following & making calls when there are none made. Sharing items, going out of the way to save teammates.
And the amount of content is staggering compared to what I was expecting.
This was supposed to be just a small Extraction PvE Elden Ring game for fun with friends. The fact that it has fully fledged solo & 3-person co-op is great. Ofc. we all wish for duo-mode but we all know that then the trio matchmaking will just die out because many ppl will just play duo with their friends. But honestly, having an extra random in the group brings a lot of fresh experiences too.
Naturally there are some things that needs to be fleshed out like having long queue times if you're in active Remembrencemode - which makes most ppl just do them in Solo which in turn makes the matchmaking even longer, but it's almost definitely going to get fixed very quickly.
It's both hilarious and annoying to see the Mixed reviews bcs when you scroll down to actually read them, most of them are flat out false information or purified stupidity - like demands for voice-chat? It will completely ruin the experence and legit worsen the way people play.
I will agree though - not having cross-play does suck and leaves out one of the ppl in our group from not being able to play the game at all since his only option will be solo or only randoms.
