This game is an absolute delight to play! The reason this game has so many negative reviews is because the game is only optimized for Nvidia cards at the moment.

The overall game play feels like something from the very first Gran Turismo on PS1. Physics wise this game is one of the best there is which is equally on par, if not further beyond that of Asseto Corsa which is a nice touch.

The graphics are incredible and are miles ahead of Asseto Corsa! If you're looking for a TRULY next generation experience graphics wise, then look no further than this game!

Project Cars has a nice list of vehicles to choose from, however, there are no Lamborghini's or Ferrari's. That may not be a problem to some, but it sorta hampers the overall product for me as I love Ferrari's.

The game still appears to be in alpha, and for a product of this quality still in alpha its an absolute MUST BUY. The game is highly optimized for Nvidia cards, and SMS are apparently working on getting it worked out for AMD cards as well.

Weather is really fun to race through, and actually has an impact on the performance of vehicles. Unlike so many other so called "sims", when it rains, the road gets slick and your car will slide very easily. It's also fun to start a race during the day time, and have a storm gradually build up overtime where it gets really foggy and rainy, completely changing the way you tackle the race at hand.

The damage model is good as well, which makes the game much more enjoyable! At least to me!

All in all I'd recommend this game to people who enjoy racing games. The game can be played with a Keyboard and Mouse, Gamepad, or Wheel. While people who own AMD cards may want to wait to purchase this until SMS has fully resolved the problem, I'd still recommend it to Nvidia users as the game runs very smooth and looks stunning! I'm truly looking forward to see what SMS has in store for this title!

It's like The Sims but with a Prison, and instead of lighting babies on fire, you're killing prisoners over spoons.

Project Zomboid is one of those few gems that is released every 5-7 years, where should I begin this review?

Let's start with the concept of the game. The whole idea of PZ is to survive as long as possible, there are no objectives, no end goal, just survive. Now this may sound easy, but in a world full of zombies constantly out to get whatever they smell/hear/see this can become rather challenging. We all know what zombies are and do, they are dead corpses that were reanimated by some sort of virus or disease and now out to infect everything in sight. And if you're an avid zombie hunter, then this game may sound like just another game with zombies in it, it's not.

Let's get to the actual gameplay elements;

Crafting: You can literally build what ever type of base you want, now this is by far one of the coolest features, you can wall off entire city blocks if you wanted to. (that would require quite a bit of resources though, I'll get to that in a minute) You can build doors, floors, walls, bars, stairs, and light posts among other things. You can craft weapons, or repair ones you've broken, you can add modifications to said weapons too! Got a baseball bat, some nails, and a hammer? Create a spiked baseball bat that deals pretty significant damage and does it in style too.

Barricading: This should probably go in the crafting section, but whatever. Barricading is something most of us zombie hunters have wanted to do for some time now, and sure some zombie games do have it, but Project Zomboid executes it brilliantly, the resources required for barricading are pretty rare depending on how lucky you are and what type of settings you selected before you started your game. (only in Sandbox mode can you select said options) You can barricade windows and doors, which not only helps keep the creeping zeds at bay, but also makes it so they can't see you through said windows, which is really cool. (you can also put sheets up to block outsiders from looking into your safehouse)

Scavenging: This has been a part of modern zombie games for quite some time now, however this game does do one of the more realistic approches to it, food that you scavenge must be kept in a fridge or else it will spoil and make you sick if you attempt to eat it. Items that you need for crafting/barricading are pretty rare and thus valuable when found. You really need to pick and choose only the stuff you'll need at that moment when scavenging because you can only carry so much before becoming over encumbered, and don't forget you can always come back for whatever you can not bring with you at that time. There is another cool option about this, you can carry two bags with you at a time (this would require you to equip one bag in the secondary slot, and a big/normal, hiking/school bag equiped on your back) which gives you plenty of more space along with weight reductions applied from the bag(s) you have equiped at the time.

Moodles: These are moodlets that pop up every now and then to tell you what your character is feeling/thinking, think The Sims, it's just like that. These can range anywhere from being tired, to getting cold, you'll want to keep a close eye on these. Most are not that important, however they're are some that do require your attention and you'll want to be on the lookout for such as, exhaustion, starving, getting sick, getting cold, getting wet, (when it rains) bleeding, and being in pain. A couple tips. 1) You'll want to avoid going out looting/killing during a storm because you'll get wet and will have an increased chance of becoming sick which could be the death of you if you don't take things easy. (killing zombies, running) 2) Lay down every now and then, you're not superman, your character needs sleep just as much as you do. 3) Make sure to always carry bandages/bandaids on you, in case you need to break open a window or patch up a wound, these are a necessity.

Skills: This is a really fun feature in the game, you will develope skills according to how you play overtime. Do you like sneaking around avoiding the undead masses? Or do you like running in swinging hand over foot? either way will get you XP in these skills, which in time will unlock skill points that you can assign to your favorite most used abilities. Remember though, this is not carried over to multiple characters, if your character dies, all the abilities you've unlocked die with them.

Farming: This is a pretty cool feature, it requires quite a few resources that may or may not be tricky to find depending on where you are and what options you've chose before starting the game. I'm not too experienced in this aspect as of the time of this review, however I do know that it is a great food source after the power/water has went out. You can grow your own crops inside your safe zone, or where ever, it really doesn't matter as long as you have the right materials you need, you can start your own little Farmville. (without being bombarded with 53,721 requests from people you barely know. I'm looking at you, Facebook)

Distracting: You can distract the zombies with a few different methods, distracting a group of zombies could end up saving your life for another day. If you've got some gasoline handy and a few matches/lighter you could light up a near by house distracting the horde of undead while you easily sneak by and loot the otherwise damn near impossible house/building with ease. If you're playing with a friend(s) you can distract zombies while your friend goes in and loots the place dry by shouting at them, this will make your life a little bit harder though depending on how many of them there actually are, and Vice versa. Alams in houses can provide a quick distraction, if you're quick enough that is. Break a window or force it open in certain homes and you'll hear an alarm buzz for about 20-30 seconds, if you're quick enough to get out you can easily evade the on coming hordes making it easier to loot the outer area around the house you just sounded off, however this could very well be the end of your life if you get caught up in an oncoming group of zeds.

Weapons: As with most zombie games, this game is based on melee/close quarter combat, there are guns available, however they're pretty rare, most are found in the cities and or gun stores, but of course those areas are hard to get to and loot without proper means, meaning you'll be doing most of your killing with a good ol' baseball bat/crowbar/golfclub, which is by no means a bad choice. (well except maybe the golfclub, you'd be better off fighting them with a toothbrush) The baseball bat has pretty decent durability, and is great against zombies, you can kill most zeds with a couple blows from a baseball bat, same with the crowbar, the better more rarer melee weapons such as the Axe and Sledgehammer are great too, however they're mostly located in the city areas, consider yourself lucky if you find one in the suburbs. Guns are great for clearing out areas, just make sure that you have enough ammo on you, because once you pull that trigger, it's on, that's like a dinnerbell to the infected.

Be SMART: This game is heavily focused on realism, this isn't a game where you're an overpowered solider that cannot be killed, you can and probably will be killed quite a bit starting out. Only RUN when needed. Don't be a glutton and eat everything in sight, you may need that for another day. If you think it's a bad idea, then it is, and you shouldn't do it. And one last thing, STAY AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS AT ALL TIMES.

Those are the main features of the game as of 4/20/2014 (Yea I know what day it is har har har)

I'd like to add in that you will NEED to think before you act if you want to survive efficiently, this game is about your experience in the zombie apocalypse, what would you do in this situation if it actually happened? That's up to you, however, don't be careless, or else you will not survive for long.
