TLDR: I definitely recommend it if you're looking for more turn based tactics style RPGs, especially ones with an intriguing story. You also don't need to have played any of the studios other games to adjusted to the setting.

I want to just say, I loved the game, from the gameplay, to the individual characters, to the entire story. I do want to state though, I am a fan of the studio's past and current works as well, so being familiar with the setting did enhance my enjoyment of the overall plot.

But barring that, the game on it's own is solid, not just in story but in it's gameplay too, while stealth missions on release were a bit more of a puzzle, I still enjoyed having to sit down and think, and plan instead of just going in guns blazing, or brute forcing my way through a combat encounter. I've long been a fan of classic cRPGs, from Fallout 1 and 2, to Wasteland 2 and 3, and typical tactical RPGs, like X-Com, or Xenonauts, so having more games with similar and deep gameplay is always welcome to me.

Still unfinished, but great game, it's absolutely beautiful, both in art, animation, sound design, and music. If you're a Touhou fan or just a fan of pixel/sprite based games, it's definitely something to look out for, especially once it's done and fully released.

Probably one of the best games I've ever played. One of the few I wish I could forget about, just to be able to experience it again.

Probably the best modern Fallout there is. Even now, the writing, charactrer building, world building, and consitancy with past Fallout titles, still outshines even Fallout 4 along with anything Bethesda have to currently offer. Obsidian are still to this day, the true creators of Fallout.
