So my friend an I bought this game more or less on a whim and played through it in a single sitting of several hours, with a few breaks in between. I highly recommend this game. if you see this review before you buy and start playing I recommend not looking too much into the game before hand, I think too much information about the game can ruin a first play through. I skimmed other reviews and didn't see many that would be all that helpful so I will try to make a helpful one here.

pro:
-the art style is adorable and the music is very good
-the story is in my opinion well done and fairly easy to follow
-there are several really interesting puzzle mechanics
-the characters are pretty interesting

cons:
-as much as I really like it, it is on the shorter side. that's really the only negative thing i can say.

something I saw repeated in the negative reviews was that in the initial release of the game it was more expensive than it is now and that there was a feature that allowed you to play with a friend who didn't own the game which was removed. granted I understand why people were so upset about this and I certainly don't agree with the choice of the devs to do this, I also think that it shouldn't necessarily be used as a point against the game itself. I still believe this game has enough merit that it should be played regardless .

it's just a really simple really useful program. It especially helps when I'm trying to stream games without bordeless windowed mode.

Ok so, I like this game it's fun and silly and should be a good escape from more "serious games" and for the most part it is. and if you want to sit down for a few minutes and have some non-sensical fun with snake launchers, shotguns and other fun weapons as stick people, this game is probably a good fit. but if you're super serious and only want to win, tryhard or treat it like it is a ranked competetive esport, please stay away. random toxic jerkwads are really the only issue I have with this game, and that has nothing to do with the game itself.

so if you get it have fun, kill everything and if you play random matches and get jerks leave and find a new match.

when Mobius was first relesed I had no real desire to play it, I thought it was just another free to play, pay to win Mobile game. my friends raved about it for a while and when it came to Steam I decided to give it a chance and boy was I impressed! the magicite system makes it that you can get things just by being patient and collecting it it when your distiller is full. you can buy magicite should you wish but it doesn't really affect the game all the much from what I can gather. the battle system is great, in my opinion. basic attacking the enemies gives you elemental orbs, each ability requires a certain number of these orbs. augmenting the abilities to higher rarities make the cards cheaper to use in battle. each Job you get has different elements that they use, there are 3 types of jobs Ranger, Mage and Warrior. each getting there own bonuses to abilities of the same type. the ultimate abilities that each job possess are unique and interesting. the game itself is incredibly beautiful for what was originally a mobile game.

for me, Mobile games tend to not be able to hold my attention for very long, just because the mechanics are simple and boring. this isn't an issue with Mobius, I've more or less binged it for a while and I've not in the least bit gotten bored of it.

to wrap this up, I greatly enjoy this game and will greatly reccomend this to anyone who likes Final Fantasy.
