AITA for putting baked beans through my friend's letterbox? So, here’s what happened. My friend, who everyone calls "Bert's Beans" because of some dumb inside joke about his love for baked beans, was out of town for a few days. I thought it would be hilarious to take this nickname to the next level and surprise him. I bought a bunch of cans of baked beans, went over to his place, and poured them all through his letterbox. I’m talking like six cans worth, just slowly dumping them into his hallway. I was laughing the whole time, thinking it was the funniest thing ever. When he got back, he was absolutely furious. Apparently, the beans seeped into his carpet, made his place stink, and he had to spend hours cleaning it up. He even had to replace part of his carpet because the smell wouldn't come out.
