Driving has improved greatly since release so that's nice
AI behavior is still poor but seems better than release
Graphical bugs/Model bugs are much better compared to release
I wish i could comment on any other improvements the game may have made since release but...

I stopped playing the game near release due to a quest bug setting me back a few hours multiple times in a row. I tried even loading saves 5-6hrs back and still had the same game breaking bug on the mission "Search and Destroy". So i lost patience and put the game down for two years.

I just started a new play through October 9th 2022. Within a couple of hours I've already experienced a bug during "The Heist" where i'm locked from completing a main story quest due to a bug. I searched forum posts for help trying to resolve the issue, but found that my issue was common in 2020.... Near release this kinda stuff is understandable, but two years later? The game itself is fun enough, but definitely not worth dealing with restarting save after save due to quests breaking. Two out of my two play through attempts have been stopped due to stuff like this. CDPR, get better quality control. Even Witcher III wasn't this bad....

I'd say if you're interested in the game it isn't a terrible game, but pick it up on sale and be prepared to make multiple backup saves. Even then... you may have to restart your game for some god awful reason.

It is amazing how far this game has come since release.

After a few patches, immortal empires beta release, and changes to the main campaign, the game is finally worth picking up. My issues with with AI have movement and AI behavior in the campaign map have almost entirely resolved.

Unit movement is terrible so far and ruins at least half of the battles I've been through. I waited until the first major patch to leave a review to see any of the unit movement/AI issues were resolved. I can't say 1.1 made it any better. Stick with Total War Warhammer II until they can fix the issues with the buggy units. I'm sure things will eventually get fixed, but playing the game now will just leave you frustrated.

Early Access Review
This is by far the smoothest early access title I've played. The current gameplay, art, UI, music, and content already make me feel this game is complete. The combat has a decent enough depth early on in the game and I'm slowly unlocking new abilities, weapon types, and upgrades. I hope as I progress, more depth is added. The rogue-lite elements don't seem to be too wacky, unless you get really lucky with what primary/secondary upgrades you're offered.

The main complaint I'm seeing for this game is it will be impossible to actually "win" until you've lost many runs. This will come down to personal preference, but it feels refreshing to me. Most TRPGS can be trivialized with grinding/over preparation, but in this game you will be forced to try to make the best with what initially feels like sticks and stones against a horde of zombies. You will lose over and over again, but each loss brings with it tools to make the next run easier. This is what I would expect from a TRPG with rogue-lite elements. It may feel grindy, but I'm enjoying this more than mindlessly grinding xp/levels against mobs that I know have absolutely no chance of beating me. Again, this will come down to personal preference. From what I can tell, preparation and planning are still critical to being successful in this game.

The loss of your team every run does hurt at first as you can't develop a character/team long term, but this does add a fresh breath into each run. The development of your city/base/upgrades kind of acts a surrogate for character development, though admittedly less satisfying than character/team development.

I'm only 7hrs in, but I would give this a solid 8/10 and consider this easily worth the purchase as the game already feels nearly complete. If you enjoy TRPGS, then this game is worth giving a shot.

The jumping felt awful and overall the game just didn't flow well for me. Wall running only worked like half of the time for me so I had to refund it.

An extremely fun game to mess around with. However, I wouldn't purchase this game until the developers can figure out how to deal with hackers. The game shows promise, but the devs have allowed hackers to run rampant since release. Seriously, about half of my games have at least one hacker and it just ruins the game. watching someone fly to the finish

- Balance is meh
- The objectives are boring
- The gun play is boring
- The abilities seem unique, but end up being meh
- Might be fun if they tweak the speed the game plays at but right now if feels like a chore to play this game
- I don't see any reason to play more than the 1.8hrs I have
I'll probably give it another shot in a year or so, if it even has any players by then

The overworld map is short and there aren't many side quests / secret missions, but the game is long enough for the price. I didn't enjoy the story / dialogue that much, but it wasn't terrible. Towards the end of the game, the newer characters introduced seem tacked on and rushed. The game play more than makes up for those issues though. The way the job system / leveling is setup allows for easier min-maxing than similar titles and makes building your party less of a hassle.

The game allows you to adjust the difficulty in a ton of different ways too so it helps keep the game from getting too easy if you like to grind a ton between story missions. Overall, a solid game that was well worth the price.
