An awesome challenging romp through some of the most realistically dark and butt clenching situations with friends. I played the original and now it's not just levels you load up but a giant open world of tasks and things to figure out. If you like a little puzzles with your pew pew and being randomly stalked and preyed upon by the living dead with 8 friends, this will satisfy that itch!

Very fun.

The challenge is real as an alien. As someone who always likes playing an alien, monster, bad guy, etc when it comes to these types of games, It's very fun!

I did not yet team up with a friend as an alien yet, but I know that will be great!

That said, playing as mercenary is butt-clenchingly fun! I played so much as an alien, when I tried a merc with my boys, it was funny / fun how much we fussed at each other to not do things that will scare the crap out of each other. I kept losing them in the dark and we had to really work with each other to determine who was to hold a light and who was ready to shoot aliens or other mercs on other teams.

Great game, get it if you like the idea!

Very fun. If you want a real solo D&D-like experience. If you want to feel like you are wizard who wants to take over the world and make your own wizard tower... play it!

Excellent extraction shooter. Feels balanced and I love the depth and realism of managing injuries, and weaponry.

Amazing game. I normally prefer only multiplayer games that are more of a pvp sandbox mmo, but this has so much. Alchemy, a combat system that make immersive sense.

I recently re-installed and am loving the full immersion this game has. Historic accuracy and the fact what you do does influence people's reactions to you. So many skills and abilities. It's certainly a custom experience I thoroughly enjoy.

Similar to Conan Exiles, Ark, Rust and make it based on Ancient China. Make the leveling system track everything. Make it to where everything you do in the game, and the time you spend matters greatly to the guild. Everyone can contribute in meaningful ways.

What you do to the NPC's matters. The animals and the NPC humans remember what your guild did. They will retaliate if you've been attacking them alot, for example.

Have all of that play out on several servers that are each a part of the map. Have them interconnected and set to connect into access to what amounts to thousand of players on one server. (Many nodes portrayed as counties, one big map/server).

That's a bit of what it is. It's rare that on "1.0" launch a game is so rich, and full of content. This is that rarity.

It's the sandbox mmo I've dreamed of. No arcade easy mode hand holding. Player driven. Very intricate. Detailed and complex skills. Just do things that interest you. You get better. There's fishing, animal training, alchemy, cooking, the list just goes on and on.

You certainly effect everyone's experience. Some magic even changes the local weather. Out of the box in game voice. Mounted combat, intricate player and guild housing...

Likes:

The TRUE First person immersive MMO you are looking for. If you are looking for a unique MMO in which it's not going to make you feel like you are playing an arcade where you just mash buttons. A true player driven MMO. Fans of Eve Online will be at home in many ways, if you like the fantasy genre as well.

It feels almost like what a D&D character would live like (spoken as a DM). I enjoy the immersion and the classless very open intricate possibilities with everything you can do in the game. It's beautiful too!

Dislikes:

Actually nothing at all, really. I can't wait to see how it will be in Unreal 5, as that is a goal of theirs. There will be Territory Control coming, but it already has guild and player housing. It has a very interactive and responsive development crew. I just heard they are going to be utilizing ChatGPT-4 in some way too.

Pretty much the answer to my tv set top needs! No matter what you make the map with, this works! The only thing I'd ask for is maybe vp9 Codec to work for doing webm imports. It seems it only works with vp8.

Other than that, use Dungeondraft or Dungeon Alchemist, or the like, to do your set top box mappings! It comes with some special effects you can use, grid or hex overlays, etc.

One thing I love is that I can pull in whatever graphics I have and make new things right top of whatever map I have. For example, if my players encounter a monster I don't have ready as a graphic, I can pull it from dndbeyond and squish the image down to the right size on the fly.

A smashing up of all the types of games I have found myself enjoying over my 47 years of life. There's enough roleplay, strategy, action, medieval low fantasy, to satisfy your action and adventure loving heart.

It feels like history. The names and places are changed, it's fantasy, but you can certainly see different real world cultures influences.
