I like it quite a bit.

New leagues are more often than not a blast and there's so many builds to try and skills to break it's sometimes hard to just play something to completion.

This game is terrible.

First of all, the game handholds you forever by reminding you what the basic controls are. Did you know you have to press W to fly up?

Secondly, the gameplay doesn't feel fun, rewarding or exciting. There's no reason to engage anything in combat. You can run away with no penalty from anything, and you obtain nothing special from combat. Gathering ressources is a chore that gives nothing besides padding the game.

Third, upgrades are uninteresting and not fun to collect. Inventory upgrades are obtained with money, and ship upgrades are either obtained with money, or with a few broken upgrades in them that just makes it a chore to upgrade. And once you upgrade them, the game doesn't feel different.

Fourth, the augmentations are uninteresting. They don't mention what they do, and most of them have a very slight effect overall for a full inventory slot. Shield upgrades feels like they allow you to take 2-3 more shots per bonus upgrades, but at the same time enemies shoot 5-10 shots per seconds, which makes upgrading a useless timesink.

Fifth, there's no goal to the game. Exploring becomes boring quickly with nothing special to discover besides points of interests, which can be found from the ship directly. The warp drive allows you to visit different galaxies, but they all look the same, with just different number of planets and a few variables of differences between them.

Sixth, Flora and fauna are procedurally generetated, which greatly limits what they are. On paper it sounds great, a near-infinite amount of different content, but in reality they all look the same with slight differences. A tree may be leafy, or a mushroom, but there's not real difference between them.

Overall, this game gets a 2/10. The visuals are nice, but everything else is botched. Stay far away from the game unless the price drops around 10-15$, but even then it's not worth it. Go find similar games like Elite: Dangerous, Space Engineer or Subnautica, those games are miles better than No Man's Sky.

Game simply refuses to start for me. My PC's above and beyond the recommended specs yet the game crashes on startup. Do not buy, this is a beyond terrible port.
