Diablo meets Terraria. David Brevik is a mastermind and pioneer to loot-based RPG's, and he proves it here.
Even if you aren't a huge fan of 2D Sandbox games (like me), this game may still appeal to you. It's immense gear system is worth delving into, even at the early stages of development.

After purchasing this game I sat down and played it for 10 hours straight, not knowing where the time went.

Pros:

- Very well designed loot system with tiers, prefixes/suffixes
- Randomly generated areas, monsters, loot
- Easy to pick up and play, though gets difficult at a good pace
- Crafting system similar to Minecraft, but with Diablo elements tied in
- Talent tree with a lot of potential
- Runewords
- Easy controls, controller compatability

Cons:

- Still in early-access, lots of improvements still to be made
- Losing items on death can be a huge problem if you die in a bad spot
- Talent tree still needs a lot of work (again, early-access)
- Mining is very slow early on
- Crafting menu can be annoying to navigate
