I can only speak for my own experience. But I haven't seen the performance issues other players talk about. It's running well for me.

This is a very good and fun game. Great game, great devs.

However Sony has now banned Helldivers 2 from being purchased in ALL regions where PSN accounts were unable to be created.
This totals 180 regions.

Sony LIED and is now spreading this anti-developer practice into other games.

The people who are leaving negative reviews are either bandwagoning after viewing drama channels/streamers, or looking at the DLC micro-transactions and making assumptions.

I played for 9 hours in a continuous game session and have had 0 crashes, stutters or any other technical issue.

For the micro-transactions and what I've seen in game, it sounds like Capcom required them to be there, but the devs didn't. So the devs complied while also making them the least predatory micro-transactions possible. The ability to change your appearance? Yeah that item is the cheapest item in the shop. Not worth the IRL money. Wakestones can be found by exploring. I've already gotten 3 shards. The ONLY one I can see as being worth it would be buying Rift Crystals to buy some OP Pawn. But if you're reasonable, any pawn that's your level and lower is free, and the price gets lower the smaller the level gap. And you can still earn RC normally in the game, so it's still not worth the money imo.

My only main complaint right now is Denuvo, which I hope is only in place to protect launch sales. I hope the devs remove it in a week or 2.

Unwanted censorship. The devs pander to the small minority of Twitter users that will never play the game. The devs are (again) neutering the core aspects of the game.

Early Access Review
After a day of playing as 2 of the 4 factions, this game looks very polished for an early access game. The only issue I noticed was some bad frame drops every now and then. Otherwise I saw no bugs, only worms. However I think it still has some development to do before it's worth the full 30 dollar price tag. There is a lot on my wish list that I hope gets added to this game to make it much more unique and enjoyable.

Some things that I hope get added, changed or improved:

-A second tech tree in the style of diplomacy with factions not directly in play. This could be a 3 pronged approach between,
A: exploiting Dune for all its worth and getting the most from what you have. (we don't need help, dune is ours)
B: Taking a lighter approach and siding with the natives, getting unique bonuses through them but not being able to exploit dune as much. (the locals are the experts, they've been here long enough to learn how to survive and we will use that to our advantage)
C: Either a middle ground approach (boring), or siding with some third faction. The Emperor? The Bene Gesserit? The Ordos? (taking Dune without some help is foolish. We will need some assistance).
This can be a key decision for your overall strategy.

-AI at max friendship should not be using agent actions against me. Some lower tier actions can be understandable, but causing a riot seems a little much for someone with maxed friendship

-More unique tech in the tech tree between factions.

-A larger unit roster

-Comedic voice lines for selecting a unit over and over. It's a staple in RTS games, I was a little sad to see this tradition missing.
