Terraria is an RPG survival game which is all about game progression for both your world and character. Before joining a world to start of your adventure in the land of Terraria you must first create a character and world in either singleplayer or multiplayer. There is a multitude of options to choose from when creating a new character or world to fit your play style, so there's always something for everyone. Much like Minecraft, you start of as a pitifully weak character in any world with a new character, but unlike Minecraft you are given basic items such as a weapon, pickaxe, and axe which can be used to collect resources and upgrade them to better items. However, not all items can be crafted and are instead dropped from mobs that are hostile and some of those mobs are not available to be spawned until certain bosses are defeated. There are hidden treasures underground like chest which contain loot or crystal hearts to increase health permanently, but be wary of traps protecting them or giant boulders that may fall on top of you. If you feel overwhelmed and are unsure of how certain items can be crafted and the recipes for them, don't worry. There's an NPC which is a guide that will assist you in the form of giving you clues of what do do next and crafting recipes. To learn more of the game I suggest watching tutorials that aren't too dated and watch gameplay of Terraria from entertaining content creators so that it doesn't feel like a chore just to learn the basics of the game. Overall I rate this game a 10/10 since there's so much to explore, build, and fight.
