An idle game that finishes in an hour and doesn't just go on forever with diminishing returns?
What kind of sorcery is this?

Remember when you had game websites with fun, engaging, short puzzle games? This is that.

For fans of idle games, you realize that an idle game's quality boils down to the level of complexity, and the pace at which that complexity is revealed. It took me quite a long time before I reached the point that I felt I was doing the same thing over and over (at which point I always stop). I would put this game near the top of idle games, to be beaten out by it's companion game IdleOn (which cleverly combines MMO mechanics with Idle mechanics). If you like idle games, there is a great deal of complexity to be had outside of initial appearances, you'll have fun finding and sometimes figuring out the mechanics over time.

Just as I remembered it, with the exception of the bomb puzzles, which were not in the version I originally played. I heard the bomb puzzles could be toggled, but I saw no option to do so. The pixel art is a wonderful aesthetic, the game is filled with lots of funny animations, and while the planet puzzles have a couple elements that can't be solved without a guide, it's still a very fun game that hits right in the nostalgia.

I adored the game "Spybotics: The Nightfall Incident" when I was younger. LEGO had no business making a web game that entertaining. This game is a faithful recreation of that original game. While this version has a few minor hiccups (I don't care much for the audio, and the windowed settings reset when you leave a game) overall this still gets a big recommend from me, especially since it has extended gameplay and a level editor.

Look, is this game a knockoff of Hexcells? Yeah. Is Hexcells a more well constructed game in terms of logic? Definitely. But I think this game was meant to be more casual than Hexcells. There's a reason why Hexcells has about 36 levels total and one "world" in this game has over 100. This game can be played casually with enough tricks up its sleeve to keep it entertaining. I can talk to someone and play this at the same time. Expect that level of engagement. If you like logic but don't want to spend an hour tearing your hair out over one puzzle, give this game a try.

What a slog. The previous games made every item necessary, there was ZERO grinding. This game was ALL grind. Ever hear of tools breaking consistently after one use? Be prepared for a LOT of that. AWFUL. Just AWFUL.

An idle game has active play and inactive play. Inactive play is when you leave the game and it runs in the background. This game needs to be on to have that accumulation, which isn't a deal breaker, but I really enjoy opening up a game to see that accumulation since I left has opened up options to me. Active play is when you click the button, or attempt to synergize multiple boost options. You cannot synergize in this game. You cannot, for example, use the 10 second 10x accumulation booster in conjunction with the button that turns all tokens into $90,000. For a game this bare-bones as it is, this is a bad deal. I wouldn't play it for free.

So to the developers, these should be relatively easy fixes. If I find out you've made the effort, I'll be happy to change this into a thumbs up, because I hate giving thumbs down to indie developers, but until then, you gotta give this a little work.

Good for writing, bad at distracting you.
