Early Access Review
If you understand the Roguelite genre then you should know what to expect. It's a little bit repetitive and grindy as you would expect, but I still find it really relaxing and satisfying. This game definitely scratched an itch that I had and the game play and UI are both very clean.

It's a lot more grindy than I expect, but the gameplay is fun (especially with friends) and the game is absolutely gorgeous.

Well okay, I'm a bit mixed on this game. I originally bought this game to play co-op with my friends. The multiplayer is really broken. It largely just doesn't work. With two people, it works a majority of the time but whoever isn't the host still glitches out. Trying to play with four players was just NOT happening. You could barely move between floors without losing someone to a disconnect. We tried changing who hosts, but it wasn't anywhere close to stable enough to play. Two of the four of group just refunded after 10 minutes. So that's the negative. If you're buying this to play with friends, then you're likely going to be disappointed.

That being said, as a single player game it's great. It's a bit grindy, but it's rewarding enough to keep playing. I've been glued to this thing all week. It's a bit annoying that you're just obviously weaker without the DLCs and some of the dungeon mechanics are just straight up anti-fun. It's pretty lame when you're losing efficiency in farming because you can't find a stupid hidden little button. The progression isn't very intuitive if you aren't following guides, so that's definitely one thing to keep in mind. I don't play many games in this genre, but I did really enjoy Gauntlet and this certainly scratched that itch... just as a single player game, not a multiplayer game.

It's good for what it is. A lot of the game is well designed enough that you are willing to ignore the poorly designed parts. If you have expectations that this is a good game to play with a group of friends then prepare for disappointment.
