JIRWINKO GAMING RETURNS 06/01/25

Welcome To The World of JIRWINKO
Hi, I'm JIRWINKO and if you've come to my profile we're either friends or you're a stranger that happened to come on by by happenstance. Since you're here, let me tell you a little about myself.

I've been gaming since I was 4 years old when my grandmother, may she rest in peace, gave me an NES with a Super Mario Bros./ Duck Hunt as a gift and in that moment a gamer was born. I've had a passion for gaming my whole life, and gaming has given a lot to me in return as a result. Friendships forged, love found, job opportunities secured, and more.

Without gaming in my life, I imagine things could've been a lot more mundane for me. There is a saying that if your job is something you love, then you'll never work a day in your life; I'm not sure how true that statement is, but I certainly like the sound of it. I'm in a position in life right now where I can chase my dream and work on my YouTube channel, JIRWINKO Gaming, and I'm happy to say that in two short months things will be back and better than ever.
What Is JIRWINKO Gaming?
If you've been gaming for any substantial amount of time, it's likely you've wondered what in the world is going in the field of Gaming Journalism. Growing up reading old magazines, things used to be a lot different. The staff at those publications actually seemed like they loved videogames, they enjoyed what they wrote about, and even when they encountered a game that they didn't enjoy they still managed to have fun with their coverage. These days though, gaming journalism is all about chasing SEO trends, regurgitating the same four or five talking points, and most importantly clickbait in the form of rage bait and clickbait.

I got tired of that, I got tired of seeing the field around me just turning into culture war stupidity, failed political pundits on their soapbox browbeating the readers, and generally just having all the fun sucked out of the room. In all honesty? YouTube isn't much better right now.

Simply put, the culture war is killing both professional and amateur content creation.

I firmly believe in being the change you want to see in the world, and I hope enough other like minded people feel the same way. You see I don't want to be the only content creator that brings the joy and love of gaming back to the world. I don't want to be the only one out there giving reviews without browbeating, streaming without beefing with others. You won't see expose pieces about specific journalists or grifters, you're going to see videogames and ONLY videogames on my channel.

Streams, reviews, previews, maybe even some fun gaming related skits, projects, and topics along the way.

Gaming is supposed to bring us closer together, it's about the enjoyment of the hobby. JIRWINKO Gaming will be bringing you one gamer's perspective in June 2025, and along the way who knows the faces we'll meet and the places we'll go. I hope you're ready for the summer, because I sure am.
