Janky panicky co-op in the best way!

Have you ever wanted to be a monk? How about defeat a kaiju? How about to do so with friends? How about to defeat them by making them dinner?

Great news! This game has all of that!

Also, the story started to get a little serious between the nonsense timed runs.

At this price, you and your friends can't afford NOT to play it!

Thought about this game just now, last played it some time last year.

Immediately got emotional.

If that sounds like something you might be into? Get this.

pclownadactyl -- if this doesn't immediately peak your interest, I'm not sure what's wrong with you.

The first hour is just a little slow, and then you're in free fall hoping the roller coaster has been recently inspected as you gasp for breath. The most riveting matchroidvania ever created

Don't play it. Especially if you like the Hero-Shooter / Semi-Moba style. It is digital drugs.

Sure there's things to complain about, but each character's power kit feels very unique and true to the comic / mcu design intent.

Biggest problem is presence of the low tier edgelords free competitive games attract. but there's lots of tools to avoid them when encountered

Darkly weird, even by Strange Scaffold standards. The story was darkly compelling. The gameplay was a huge miss for me, but apparently some folks like it, as endless mode has since been released.

The art? Exceptional. The soundtrack? Excellent. The gameplay? Meh. Even the primary story beats are salvageable.

This is possibly the single worst-written videogame I have encountered in 40+ years of gaming.

Act 1 starts somewhat smartly written. Then, it's like they literally got a child to write the rest of the script.

My friends and I are literally embarrassed for the rest of the team that made this, because the writing was so unbelievably awful it completely ruined the experience, and frankly the gameplay is weak but inoffensive enough that it would be something you tolerated if they just delivered on the story promises they made,

Excellent, Everything fits the story. Sometimes the establishing shots made me a tad motion-sick. Depending on choices you make it can seem like other options don't exist, but there's definitely more to the world than you can easily find in a single playthrough!

I think the last time I got this anxious playing a horror-themed game was back in the 90s with OG Resident Evil.

Really inventive powers and abilities system. Forces, encourages, and rewards the player for approaching things differently.

Great work for such a small team!

Hellblade the first was a unique and EXCEPTIONAL work of art. I have gifted the game multiple times. I have played the game multiple times myself, even though the effects give me migraines.

Everything done well in the original is poorly emulated in the sequel. Combat is clunky, sloppy, boring, and repetitive. Puzzles are tedious slow walks. Speaking of slow, tedious walking, there's hours of it in this ~7 hour game.

They have completely lost the thread of what made the story and execution of the first game so powerful. Living through experiences with Senua. They opted in the sequel instead to TELL the player, verbally, in the most tedious ways possible, any story beats, and completely gloss over any meaningful character or narrative development. Instead the game is reduced to progress via macguffin.

I was asking out loud "what the hell were they trying to accomplish?" When the ending made it clear: MS, who now owns the studio, is trying to pivot the recognised IP into an ongoing series. Who cares how much of the soul is sucked out of the IP along the way? Not them.

Art is pretty, though.

OK, So OG Helldivers was exceptional, and going 3rd-person shooter was an extraordinarily bold move.

It worked.

The game is intense mission-grinding, bug-killing, strategem-dropping fun!

The only thing better than the action is the satire.

Convince your civilian friends to become citizens through service!

Solidarity with those who don't want, or cannot comply with Sony's announced mandatory PSN requirement.

Sony: Change the policy, change the review.
