Early Access Review
wow the negative reviews are so picky OMEGALUL "ew epic games, ew the research is so linear" and most negative reviews barley even go as far as 4hrs where THERE IS STILL MORE CONTENT PAST THE FACT *spoilers*

*spoilers*
companions
bigger train modules and upgrades
more weapon types
different human ai
different dangers among the paths

And ive only played 10+hrs according to the trailer there is at least 66 gates im only on gate 13 so there definatley is a lot more content to the game than these 4hr people who dont understand survival games have a slow progression rate ESPECIALLY good survival games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. , DayZ, and much more.

Crafting (singleplayer):
crafting in the early game can be quite easy since there isnt much to it, yet later on in the game you find more and different resources along with the research u do which at times can be overwhelming without the fact of companions not helping you craft and do things for u

Recourse Gathering (singleplayer):
ive not really found a use personally for the grappling hook id like to just swim to the resources myself and utilize the plants to traverse but again u can use the hook to gather things u cant reach, you can stop your train every now and then to put ur full inventory in ur chests and continue or just be a loot goblin and gather as much as u want (you'll definatley need it)

Research (singleplayer):
research is linear but its meant to progress in a specific way to let the questline help guide you in the beginning yet it fails to branch out of that, i get the oversight on that people in survival games arent just "survivalists" but crafters, rp'ers, combat players, and love just exploring all the ways to progress in the research tree (and again most great survival games dont hold your hand to let you know your own ways on researching others just give u a tree and a path to get to where u want) this is more in the middle area where u see what u can research and as u go it still is a tree but shows u in a more non elusive linear way again tech trees are linear whether u like it or not

Companions (singleplayer):
love that each companion so far are unique in their attributes to your vessel ie: faster research, damage less taken, faster smelting, and faster crafting it goes a long way to get these companions and stack these attributes for easier and faster ways to just compile all ur base resources into refined resources

combat (singleplayer):
combat is clunky at best and im sure theyll fix it or it may just be its charm considering (lore wise) this is based around 1920s future tech the bullets travel slow and you really have to lead your target if u aim far but close combat is intense with pistols and rifles, when it comes to the shotgun its a bit like shooting sponges, combat is definitely a give or take

story (singleplayer):*will warn with ** when spoilers*
story so far is mysterious and yet intriguing, why am i here, WERE AM I

*spoilers*
as you go along you discorver you (a mountaineer/survivalist) found a random shack not found on your map in the mountains go inside for warmth and open what looks like to be a nordic portal, you later find out its a scientist shack you stumbled upon and a organization wants his head because this scientist stole research from them
*spoilers*
clues as to where you are: --> you see giant objects old bows and arrows, viking era swords
maybe youre in Jotunheim (realm of giants) and you went through a bifrost portal
*spoilers*
why jotunheim id guess? jotunheim is a land from where loki came from the god of mischief its a places of primordial chaos, magic and untamed wilderness maybe its the devs take of it
*spoilers done*

ui is confusing at first but still beautiful none the less also love how you can win with either good diplomacy, selling food to buy territories or just take territories by force
