Escape the backrooms is one of the best backroom games currently out right now and the support for multiplayer and vr is pretty great for a game this small in development, but there is some problems plaguing this game.
It is in early access currently so some of the things I complain about could be fixed further down the road.
Now obviously one of the most frustrating things I noticed was how little stamina we get for sprinting, I know its for balancing and such, but it frustrates me that this guy who's skinny and good enough to be apart of an operation exploring an infinite hell, could not run longer than 5 seconds. This would be less annoying if we at least had a bar telling us how much stamina is left, and how long it takes to regenerate. Another problem is level fun, which you should know by the dozens of other reviews talking about it, that its way too difficult and the amount of effort to pass this level is rage inducingly high, to the point I would wanna quit. Even with a guide, it took me a solid hour just to pass this room. Another thing about this game is Level End where you're trapped in a room with that monster that looks like play-dough. This was the second most frustrating part of the game, but it wasn't being chased or avoiding the monster, it was simply trying to pick up the VHS cartridges from the shelves, even shoving your face into them will sometimes not pick them up. It also causes a weird camera glitch where you're permanently looking down till you lean. The last thing is the price, 10 dollars for an early access game with 2 hours of game play is not really worth it, I would recommend waiting for a sale. But besides these complaints, the game is all around pretty interesting and fun, and I believe is probably the best developed and fleshed out game for a concept like the backrooms. Definitely gonna keep in touch for new updates possibly adding levels and fixing bugs.

despite its all-time high on steam charts being 12k meaning 19+ million people are playing on epic games/console... Yeah, real believable. Game is an obvious cashgrab who does season passes and adds "operaters with special abilities!!!" Just your average modern fps form a triple A company. Not worth the 20gb of storage
