Just to clarify on some of the previous reviews.

TL;DR: This game used to be reasonable and fun, now it's an example of how a Snowball can catch a lot of dirt on its way down the hills.

The invites: You can disable game invites entirely, or leave them only enabled for Friends and Clan.

The game: It's not a copy of Garena's Point Blank. This IS Point Blank. This version of Piercing Blow (oh, I witnessed the name change and I died) is actually Project

Blackout, formerly published by GameRage, who weren't getting enough profit from the game, and dropped it (after all, it IS a huge money-grab). The new managers decided to

include this same update that the Garena managers did, with all the class/outfit bullcrap, rather than the old inventory, perk and leveling system PB had, which was, in fact,

much better.

Now here's a few fun facts:

The maps: They (at least some) are "blatantly disguised" copies of Counter-Strike maps. For example: Look at Downtown and try to compare it to Dust2. Small houses making

tunnels into B, a CT base going under A(bombsites have been switched when comparing to Dust2, though), a straight passageway right into mid that can make sniper battles from

base to base. Pretty much a "city" themed Dust2.

Cash-shop: It used to be much worse, but better at the same time. You used to have items like Quick-Swap, Quick-Reload, Less Respawn Time, XP/Money boosters that boosted

different ammounts depending on how much you paid, characters that would boost XP, Credits or Mobility and HP, you could not get any of the ridiculously skinny female

characters without paying (though you could get the default female characters, which are much skinnier than the default fat guy), the masks (which give ridiculous stats like

an almost guaranteed second chance after being shot in the head, or more penetration to cancel that second chance).

The servers: They have been horrible for as long as I can remember. Not even back in GameRage do I recall having stable connections (Oh, but I can play on Russian, Arab and

Latino-American servers with barely any lag) and all my friends suffered from the same.
The game's always been Pay2Win, but after the transition to this "PB Extreme" game-revamp, which, in fact, was a complete throw-up, the gameplay itself went down a lot.

I used to have fun in this game with friends. We used to have fun to a point where one of my friends got a REALLY high-ranked account and got banned for "hacking". He decided

he didn't want to stop playing, so he started over, and he got banned AGAIN for "hacking". The game is too "community-managed", to the point where too much reports will get

you banned for allegedly hacking, even if you're active in the forums, constantly posting videos of cool plays you do. It's ALWAYS been this way.

I am not going to lie, I believe this game has potential as a fun Free-To-Play game, but, even though I've moved onto other games, if I ever play it again, I'll tell you

right now: I'll be playing on a server other than Piercing Blow. The old Point Blank/Project Blackout with the old level skills and old shop is much better, not to mention

that there are a few PB's where you actually can get GOOD permanent weapons without having to spend a single penny.

All in all, this all just means I'm extremely sad because of how this game went downhill in such a shameless way. After all, this game was one of the reasons I have some of

the best friends I could ask for.

*Phew* /rant over, sorry for the wall of text.

First of all, I just want to counter-argument everyone who talks negatively about this game's business model, THEN I'll move on to the game itself.
I honestly think that compared to 90% of the F2P games around, this business model, though it doesn't ride the lines of perfection, it almost slides through them. After all, they paid to develop the game, and they need money to keep it alive. And we're talking about Nexon, you're lucky that you can actually be on par with enemy players without paying anything. I'd say you only need to pay for COSMETICS, but if you really want those cosmetics, you can really get them without paying. All weapons are similar and it's all up to preference, and as for the perks, they're just sidekicks, you don't really need them, but they will (sometimes) help you. I currently have 1 Special Edition card (lucky me, RNG), 3 Silvers (traded up from 4 bronze cards each) and currently no Bronze card because I've traded them all up. I also have a BUNCH of Iron and Lead cards, because every 2~4 games you're guaranteed to drop a case for free, rather than wasting 2~3 games worth of currency, which in my opinion, is not a lot.
As for the game, there's not much I can say. I have played in this game's closed beta, and I can only say it has been improving more and more with each update. The gameplay mechanics are fun. The recoil, though very reduced and easily controllable, feels fluid and well conceived.
Now here's what I love: The movement. To me, movement has always been very important in FPS games. From trickjumping back in old Arena shooters like Quake and Unreal Tournament, to bunnyhopping in Half-Life and Counter-Strike, I've always done what I can to learn how to use the movement to my advantage. Ever since I learned this game had a long-jump function, I've been studying the maps as I play to make use of this along with the wall-jumps (and the Springy perk) to get around faster than ever, and to avoid all kinds of enemy attacks. The game is fun and addicting, and though there are still very few maps, they are large enough, and have more than one objective each, which avoids boredom.
