I'm fairly certain I've spent the majority of my childhood playing this game alongside Spore and The Sims 2 and 3.

This was the backbone of my gaming life and I still somehow return to it at least once a year.

From cheating money because I didn't know what the ♥♥♥♥ I was doing to actually making a living metropolis with a positive income, the game is not even genre defining, it was genre creating.

There are so many amazing features in this game that the majority of newer city builder games in the genre still don't even tap into, such as being able to make neighbouring cities and have them trade with eachother through map connections.

If you can withstand to make the game playable on a modern computer I highly recommend you play this and see the history of what once was an amazing Electronic Arts publisher and the peak of Maxis game development.

Horrible pricing system

140gb of download and I no longer have access to any of the older content that I own now because it's split across 3 licenses managed by a completely separate license

after 12 hours of gameplay I can safely say I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing

this DLC doesnt feel like it exists, it should theoretically be just in the base game already, i think this took up one of the preorder "next 3 free dlc is free" spots which is pretty annoying

Should have been in the Royal Court DLC, and mods like HIP already introduce the same if not better events such as this 7.50 AUD DLC

gorgeous looking game but suffers from the same call of duty gamengine making the gameplay exactly the same as every other CoD for a bloody 90 aussie dollar pricetag

This game for full retail price in Australia is 70 AUD. This DLC alone is 43 AUD. Compare the content you get from this DLC to a full game.
